Frances Ann Gillespie was born in 1823 in Virginia (now WV) 1880 census shows her father born in Kentucky, and mother in West Virginia.^1,2,3 She married Thomas Bell Tallman, son of James Benton Tallman and Mary Ellen Bell, on 16 November 1842 in Tyler Co., VA (now WV.) Frances Ann Gillespie died on 15 August 1894 in Clarke Co., IA. She was buried in August 1894 in Green Bay Cemetery, Clarke Co., IA, Findagrave #22950740.
