ALYCE R. FISCHER

Alyce R. Fischer of 7720 N.W. 16th St., Ankeny, died of a heart ailment Friday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. She was 67.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton’s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with cremation following.

Mrs. Fischer lived in the Des Moines area all her life. An art student of Norman Rockwell, she retired as a portrait painter for Dean’s Studio and Maxheim Photography.

She is survived by her husband, Harold; three daughters, Bonnie Burt, Lauretta Long and Virginia Johnson, and a son, Perry, all of Des Moines; a brother, Walter Olmstead of Vista, Calif.; nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.

She was buried in February 1991 in Masonic Cemetery, Des Moines, Polk Co., IA, Findagrave #66791092. Her name and dates are on the headstone with Harold, but her obituary says she was cremated, so the cremains may or may not be in this cemetery.

Alice Rosette Olmstead was also known as "Alyce" Olmstead.
