Bertha Belle Malotte married William Judson Windle, son of Peter Windle and Cynthia Gradeless, on 26 November 1910 in Whitley Co., IN, This marriage lasted less than eight years -- Judson remarried to Viola (Yant) Cowgill in AUG 1918. Bertha had been listed with her husband and children in the April, 1910 census -- the fate of her first husband, Joseph Rodgers, is unknown, but it is most curious that she was remarried within six months. Bertha Belle Malotte died on 30 January 1963 in Columbia City, Whitley Co., IN.

She was buried in February 1963 in South Park Cemetery, Columbia City, Whitley Co., IN, Findagrave #28730227.

Bertha Belle Malotte lived on 26 April 1910 in 214 Jackson Street, Columbia, Whitley Co., IN.¹

Cause of death: Texas death certificate indicates heart attack, caused by exposure, occurring on U.S. Highway 54, 30 miles west of Dalhart. Given the time of year, it appears some winter mishap while travelling occurred, resulting in the heart attack and his death. DLB 2019.
