LaVonne E. Sheffler, age 90, of La Porte City, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at La Porte City Nursing and Rehab Center.
She was born November 26, 1924 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of George and Mildred Clancey Bradstream. LaVonne graduated from Mt. Auburn High School.
She was united in marriage with Roger Sheffler on August 21, 1943 in Dubuque, IA. He preceded her in death in April, 2008.
LaVonne worked as a secretary in the scheduling department at Rath Packing Co. in Waterloo and at the ASCS Office in Waterloo.
She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in La Porte City and enjoyed playing cards and dancing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a granddaughter, Courtney Sheffler.
Services: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the American Lutheran Church in La Porte City. Burial in Westview Cemetery, La Porte City
