Mrs. Davis was a school teacher before her marriage, after which event they settled in Labette County, Kansas, where in 1891, Mr. Davis, while harvesting met with an accident, severed his right hand and nearly had his left arm cut off. The next year they located at Hymer, Kansas. Since removed, but place not ascertained.1
