She was taken into the David and Lindsy Robertson home and raised by the Robertsons after both of her parents were killed in an auto accident. She married Mose O. Pope on 16 MAR 1944 at McAlester and had a daughter Linda who married Jim Humphreys. She was a full-blooded Choctaw, per 1930 census listing.¹
