Maria Miller died in 1882 in Harrison Twp., Harrison Co., IN.


Note:

1850 census of Shenandoah County does not show a 12- or13-year old Maria Miller.

1840 census of Shenandoah County shows two Jacob Millers with daughters under 5. One of these was likely the Jacob Miller, carpenter, found in Rockingham County in 1850 with daughter Maria S. Miller, age 13.

1850 census of Shenandoah County shows a Thomas Miller, minister of Lutheran Church, born PA, with daughter Mary V. Miller age 14. But she would have had to be born in 1835 or 1836, while the B. K. Swartz book is clear on all of the dates for this family (except for an obvious error on son William D. Miller) -- no reason to suspect he got her birth year wrong. DLB 2012.
