Juanita O. Hall, 86, Coffeyville, KS died Friday, June 17, 2011 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
Juanita was born August 17, 1924 at Neosho, Missouri to George Isaac Hoover and Jessie Kemp Fair (Wood) Hoover. She grew up in Neosho and graduated Neosho High School. Juanita married Lawrence E. “Bud” Hall on April 14, 1943 at Neosho, Missouri. Bud preceded his wife in death on July 12, 1991. Mr. Hall was a self-employed, carpet-layer and the couple lived in Liberty and Independence, before moving to Coffeyville, Kansas in 1959. Juanita enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She was an avid fan of Kansas Jayhawks basketball and Kansas City Royals baseball, but her fondest role was that of grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include three sons, Terry L. Hall and his wife, Patti of Mulberry, Kansas, Dennis E. Hall of Coffeyville and Keith Hall and his wife, Debbie of Lenexa, Kansas; three daughters, Linda Toon and her husband, Monte of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Shirley Cillessen of Olathe, Kansas and Peggy Metzer of Ardmore, Oklahoma; one brother, Ernest “Doc” Hoover and his wife, Ila Jean of Neosho; ten grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, three brothers, Phillip, Robert and George Hoover and one sister, Marguerite Renfro.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel with Evangelist David Bycroft officiating. Interment will be in Coffeyville’s Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Monday 9am-8pm with the family receiving friends at the funeral home from 6-8pm. Friends may donate to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association and donations may be left at the funeral home.
