Cline of Gallatine, Missouri, and reinterred in the Kephart Daniel Cline plot sometime between 1912 and 1916. A new headstone was inscribed and erected, upon which her maiden name was misspelled "Sciple". Per findagrave.com.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Bedonna Lingle Carstarphen passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006, in Leawood, Kan.

Private family memorial services will be in New London. Inurnment will be at a later date at Barkley Cemetery in New London.

Bedonna was born Oct. 11, 1906, in Bethany to Walter and Sara Emmeline Lingle.

Survivors include her two daughters, Mary Catherine (Molly) Schwab and husband, Glenn, of Stilwell, Kan., and Elizabeth Studer of Shawnee, Kan.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Patricia Carstarphen of Spokane, Wash.; and nieces, Anne Lingle Esson of Vail, Colo., and Susan Lingle James of Guilford, Vt.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Lewis Henry Carstarphen; her son, Thomas Lingle Carstarphen; and her brother, E.Y. Lingle.

Bedonna was a graduate of Stephens College, University of Missouri, and University of Arkansas. After her graduate degree she taught 25 years at the University of Texas Elementary Lab School in Austin, Texas. She had lived in the Kansas City area for 30 years. She was a member of the Pi Beta Phi, DAR and DAC (Daughters of American Colonists).

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Missouri Nature Conservancy for the Dunn Ranch, 2800 S. Brentwood Blvd., St. Louis, Mo. 63144.

She was buried in January 2006 in Barkley Cemetery, New London, Ralls Co., MO, Find A Grave Memorial# 57418747.
