Mrs. Sarah C. Slaughter, 77, late of 216 Central Court, Redondo Beach, Calif., at Oehler's Funeral chapel in Des Plaines at 3 p. m. Rev. Eiobert A. Edgar of Glenview officiated. Mrs. Slaughter, died July 4 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fay Cricks of 21 N. Pine Ave., Mt. Prospect. She had been here on a two month visit. She was born November 2, 1874, in Terre Haute, Ind. Assistant personnel director for the Springfield Fire and Marine Insurance Co. in Chicago for 30 years, she retired in 1941 and went to California to live. She leaves three children, Mrs. Fay L. Cricks of Mt. Prospect; Mrs. Erma G. Campbell of California, and Mrs. Marian E. Edwards of Arlington Heights; three grandchildren, Robert Mitchell, Mrs. Beverly Dinsmore, and James Campbell, and eight great grandchildren. A grandson, Lt. Comdr. William H.
