Graveside services for Arthur "Bud" Jamison, 81, of Utica, who passed away on Monday, March 16, 2009, in Durant, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Highland Cemetery. Bro. Kerry Groce will officiate.
Bud was born May 20, 1927, in Utica, Okla., to Lester Olen and Eula (Kennedy) Jamison. He was raised in Bryan County, then moved to Texas and California before returning home. He married Nannie Elizabeth Martin in Durant in 1948. He was a life-long farmer and rancher. He was of the Baptist faith and he enjoyed fishing, spending time with family, hanging out at Chuck's Corner with friends and playing pool. Bud will be greatly missed by all who knew and dearly loved him.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Danny Jamison; daughter, Sandra Kay Jamison; one brother and one sister.
Bud is survived by sons, Johnny Lee and Ronald Lester Jamison, both of Utica; daughter, Linda Blackburn of Durant; brothers, J.D. and Billy Joe Jamison both of Durant and Ray "Fuzzy" Jamison, of San Bernardino, Calif.; eight grandsons; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of dear and loved friends.
Interment will be in Highland Cemetery with grandsons, Paul Jamison, Johnny Jamison Jr., Toby Jamison, Jason Coker, Nathan Jamison, Jame Jamison, Aaron Coker and Kevin Blackburn serving as pallbearers.
