Born June 11, 1921, in Donnellson, she was the daughter of Chris and Dora Klingler Schlicher. She married W.B. "Ben" Clendenen June 8, 1941, in Donnellson.She was a graduate of Fort Madison High School and Fort Madison Business College.She had lived a year in London and 22 years in Brazil before retiring to Chesterfield in 1980. She was an executive secretary before her marriage and was a member of AARP.Survivors include her husband; one brother, Leland Schlicher of Donnellson; two sisters, Ruth Krehbiel of Manchester, Mo., and Doris Crile of Muscatine; and nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.Visitation will begin after 6 p.m. Monday at Hofbauer Funeral Home in Donnellson, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 830 p.m.The funeral for Mrs. Clendenen will be at 130 p.m. Tuesday at Hofbauer Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Evangelical Cemetery at Donnellson.Memorials have been established for the Ivy Chapel Church and the American Cancer Society.

Woodrow Benson Clendenen
Born June 25, 1914, in Saskatchewan, Canada, he was the son of Robert and Anna Clendenen. On June 8, 1941, he married Edith V. Schlicher in Donnellson. She preceded him in death.
Mr. Clendenen's career included 25 years in Europe and Brazil. He retired in 1980 as president of Borden Inc. in Brazil. He moved with his parents to southeast Iowa the year he was born. He moved to Chesterfield, Mo., after his retirement and moved to West Des Moines in 1998. He was a graduate of the University of Iowa with a degree in chemical engineering. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in West Des Moines. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the honorary engineering and chemical societies Tau Beta Pi and Phi Lamda Upsilon, and the social chemical fraternity Alpha Chi Sigma. He was a Mason for more than 54 years. Survivors include two brothers, Howard E. Clendenen of West Des Moines and James T. Clendenen of Indianola; and one sister, Betty Erhardt of West Burlington. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. The family will meet friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at McLaren's Resthaven Chapel in West Des Moines. Additional visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson prior to the graveside service. The funeral for Mr. Clendenen will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at McLaren's Resthaven Chapel in West Des Moines. The graveside service will be noon Wednesday in Evangelical Cemetery in Donnellson, with the Rev. Alice Hawes officiating. Memorials have been established for the American Cancer Society and Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Judith Ann Kirchner, 74, of Fort Madison, passed away at 9:20 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016 at Fort Madison Community Hospital. She was born on Jan. 20, 1942 in Fort Madison to Carl & Pauline Stump Roxlau. She married Roger L. Kirchner on June 17, 1961 in Fort Madison. She was a member of Ss. Mary & Joseph Church and enjoyed cooking for the church and her family for many years.
Judy is survived by her husband, Roger Kirchner of Fort Madison; one son: Dennis (Kimberly) Kirchner of Wever; one daughter: Sherri (Jay) Fullenkamp of West Point; three grandchildren, Clay Fullenkamp of West Point, and Brett and Bailey Kirchner both of West Virginia; her twin brother: John (Dixie) Roxlau of West Point; one sister, Arletta (Pete) Menke of Fort Madison, and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Scott Kirchner and one sister, Carlene Schlicher.
Per her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. Friends may call after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5, with the family to receive friends from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, at Ss. Mary & Joseph Church with Rev. Mark P. Spring officiating. Burial will be held in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
