She is preceded in death by her husband Billy Coy Monday a W.W.II veteran, and her mother Jewell Taylor, of Springfield,MO. She is survived by her children; Billy Coy Monday Jr. and wife, Terri, Donald Lee Monday and wife Roberta, and Patricia ann Monday. One brother Paul Samples and wife Naomi. Six grandchildren; Billy Coy Monday III and wife Sandy, Joseph Paul Monday, Barry Alan Monday and wife Rachel, Jennifer Leigh (Monday) Ogan and husband Brian, Ryan Monday and wife Ashley, and Emily Monday.
Being a wife, mother and grandmother was the greatest joy of he life. She led cub scouts and worked with th PTA. Her home was filled with treasures from local flea markets, and every item had a story. She loved to decorate her home for every season and she filled the yard and porches with flowering plants and shrubs. She was an avid animal lover, with most of her pets coming to the front door and making themselves at home. She spent most of her time studying the Bible, reading the latest books published by Christian authors and listening to the Gaithers.
Burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens Springfield.

PAUL DUDLEY SAMPLES
Services for Paul Dudley Samples, of Pineville, will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at Hixson Brothers, Pineville, with Pastor Lonnie Weidner officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Paul was born October 28, 1934 to Clarence Dudley and Jewell Taylor Samples in Springfield, Missouri and passed away October 16, 2015 in Pineville.
He is preceded in death by his parents; beloved daughter, Pamela Samples McDonald; grandson, John McDonald, Jr., and sister, Peggy S. Monday.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Naomi Gray Samples; son, Paul David Samples and wife, Emily of Ball; daughter, Rhonda Cantrell and husband, Paul of Ball; grandchildren, Wyatt Paul, Taylor Leigh, Jacob David and Kelsie Rae Samples, Brittany and Whitley Aswad; two great-granddaughters, Ella and Maya Vidrine of Phoenix, Arizona; brother-in-law, Jack W. Gray of Lufkin, Texas; sister-in-law, Ruby G. Hartman of Ball and very special nephew, Don Monday, his wife Roberta and family of Springfield, Missouri.
Paul served honorably in the United States Air Force and the Missouri Air National Guard with tours of duty in France and Italy and was a life member of the American Legion. His love of flying began when he joined the Civil Air Patrol as a teen. He obtained his private pilot license at a young age and he and his best friend bought a Piper Cub which they flew all over Southern Missouri and Southeastern Kansas. After his service time he worked in the aircraft industry at McDonnell Douglas and Lockheed.
He was a skilled craftsman, builder and electrician. He loved to fish and at one time built his own bass boat. He enjoyed gardening and was always ready for a good game of chess.
Papa was the center of our lives and felt his biggest accomplishment was his family, of whom he was proud of each and every one. His strength and determination in his last years will forever be a source of inspiration.
The family would like to express love and gratitude to the entire staff of the VA Community Living Center 45B and Palliative Care Unit for their tender care and dedication to our Papa.
In lieu of flowers, the family has designated the Leukemia/ Lymphoma Society, https://donate.lls.org/lls/donate, for memorial contributions.
Paul Dudley Samples began military service U.S. Air Force service.
