A memorial service for Miss Sandra Lorene Cue, 50-year-old missionary, will be held in Brackettville today at 2 p.m. in the Baptist Church with The Rev. Ronnie Watson and The Rev. Homer Hanna officiating.
Miss Cue, daughter of John Loren Cue of Brackettville, died Thursday in Boa Vista, Brazil, where she spent 25 years working with Indian tribes. Born in Chicago, she studied at Brian University before taking three years of post graduate work at Moody Bibe (sic) Institute and later studying linguistics at the University of Oklahoma.
Survivors include her father and her step-mother, Ruth Cue of Brackettville, two sisters and three brothers.

DR. DOUGLAS J. CULVER, PASTOR
Dr. Douglas Joel Culver, 68 years old, of Greenwood, South Carolina died on Monday, January 29, 2007 at the Jupiter Medical Center, following a sudden illness. Formerly of Greensboro, North Carolina, he moved to South Florida in 1985 and served as the Senior Pastor of Granada Presbyterian Church in Coral Gables, FL. In 1990, Dr. Culver moved to Fort Pierce, FL where he was the Senior Pastor of St. Lucie West Presbyterian Church for over ten years; and was currently on staff at Erskine Seminary in Due West, South Carolina as a professor of Old Testament and Hebrew studies. He was preceded in death by his mother, Arlene Leola Hoyt Culver, who died in 1976.
Dr. Culver loved the Gospel and was passionate about helping others come to know the Lord, Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Lyrle C. Culver of Greenwood, SC; five children, Brian Culver (Lauren) of New York, NY, Stuart Culver (Linda) of Chicago, IL, Schuyler Culver (Andrea) of Indianapolis, IN, Jordan Culver of Beaufort, SC and JoEllyn Espinal (Rene) of Jupiter, FL; and eight grandchildren, Alison, Jacqueline, and Sean Culver, Grace, Blessing, and Sophia Culver, and Noel and Nathan Espinal. Additional survivors include his father, Robert Duncan Culver (Celeste) of Houston, MN; a brother, Keith Culver (Sharon) of Stewartville, MN; and sister, Lorraine Culver of Chicago, IL.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 2, 2007 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 1201 South Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. A Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the Lake Osborne Presbyterian Church, 2101 6th Avenue South, Lake Worth, FL 33461, with the interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Jupiter, FL. Schuyler J. Culver
Greenwood - Schuyler J. Culver, 52, of Greenwood passed away on the early morning of April 20, 2018. He was born on October 22, 1965 to Douglas and Lyrle Culver. Schuyler was a graduate of Hanover College earning a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, and received his MBA from Butler University. He married Andrea Cox on March 22, 1997 in Indianapolis. Schuyler was employed as a Financial Controller for John Frick and Associates for the past three years. He was an active member and a deacon of Center Grove Church, Past President of the Rotary Club of Greenwood, Past President, Treasurer and a vital part of Pack Away Hunger, and was very active in Big Brothers Big Sisters. His passion and drive was to provide for and love his girls.
Schuyler is survived by his wife Andrea Lynne Culver; his daughters Grace Schuyler Culver, Blessing Anne Culver and Sophia Lynne Culver; mother Lyrle Culver; siblings Brian (Lauren) Culver, Jordan Culver and JoEllyn (Rene) Espinal; and sister-in-law Linda Culver. He is preceded in passing by his father Douglas Culver and his brother Stuart Culver.
Singleton Mortuary and Memorial Center is handling the arrangements. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2018 at Center Grove Church, 2340 S. State Road 135 in Greenwood. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 26 at the church and Friday one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Rev. Dr. Robert Duncan Culver, 98, of rural Houston, Minnesota, died Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Robert Duncan Culver was born at Tampico, Washington, rural Yakima County, July 19, 1916, to Sinyeard Carpenter (S.C.) Culver and Emma (Mondor) Culver. He married Arlene Leola Hoyt Jan. 29, 1937, at Ashland, Ohio. Arlene died Oct. 26, 1974, in Libertyville, Ill. To this union were born Douglas Joel Culver, Keith Eugene Culver and Lorraine Adele Culver.
Robert, along with his parents, became a part of a new small village congregation of believers that has sent many of its sons and daughters into various missionary and pastoral careers. His early education was in the public schools. Robert is a graduate of Heidelberg College (A.B.), Grace Theological Seminary (B.D., Th.M., Th.D.). He was ordained into the ministry by the Brethren Church at Harrah, Washington, in 1942. He did post-doctoral theological studies at Chicago Lutheran Theological Seminary and ancient near-east languages at the Graduate School of the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Culver has been an author, preacher, pastor and teacher all of his adult life, until the present. His career as professor has taken him to Grace Theological Seminary (professor of Old Testament and Hebrew), Wheaton College and Graduate School (associate professor of Bible and theology) and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (professor and chairman of theology). He was annual director of the Near-east School of Archaeology at Jerusalem, in 1962. He has been a special or visiting lecturer at schools in Canada, several states in the USA, Jordan, Hong Kong, the Netherlands and Argentina. Among his several publications, perhaps best known are The Life of Christ, A Biblical View of Civil Government, Daniel and the Latter Days, and the section on "Daniel" in the Wycliffe Commentary.
He was married to Celeste Fay Knipmeyer November 22, 1975, in Wheaton, Illinois. Since 1977, they have lived in rural Houston County, Minnesota, where they have been busy writing and publishing several books related to Christian life and doctrine, most recently, Systematic Theology: Biblical and Historical. This is a volume of about 1,300 pages.
His wife, Celeste Fay (Knipmeyer) Culver, son, Keith Culver, and his wife, Sharon Culver, of Stewartville, Minnesota, a daughter, Lorraine Culver of Houston, daughter-in-law, Lyrle Culver of Fort Pierce, Florida, seven grandchildren, Brian Culver, and his wife, Lauren Culver, of New York City, Schuyler Culver, and his wife, Andrea Culver, of Indianapolis, Nathanael Culver, and his wife, Sandra Culver, of Hokah, Minnesota, Jordan Culver of Argentina, Naomi McCollough, and her husband Darrin McCollough, of Stewartville, Minnesota, JoEllyn Espinal, and her husband, Rene’ Espinal, of Jupiter, FL, David Culver, and his wife, Renee Culver, of Lake Oswego, Oregon, a granddaughter-in-law, Linda Culver, of Blue Island, Illinois, 16 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Julia (Culver) Smithwick and Caroline (Culver) McGraw, both of Yakima, Washington, and Joanne (Culver) McReynolds of Waco, Texas, two brothers, Richard Culver, and his wife, Diane Culver, of Yakima, Washington, and Roger Culver, and his wife, Donna Culver, of Chiloquin, Oregon, survived him.
His parents, Sinyeard Carpenter (S.C.) Culver (1889-1958) and Emma Eugenie Alderdyce (Mondor) Culver (1895-1983), his first wife, Arlene Leola (Hoyt) Culver (1914-1974), son, Dr. Douglas Joel Culver (1938-2007), sister, Eleanor Culver, brother, Gail Culver, and grandson, Stuart Culver, predeceased him.
His funeral service was held at 11 AM Thursday, February, 12, 2015, at Bethany Evangelical Free Church in Houston, Minnesota, with the Rev. David Wiersbe officiating. Visitation was held from 4 to 7 PM, Wednesday at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in Houston, Minnesota, and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. Burial followed at the Money Creek Cemetery in Money Creek, Minnesota.
The family prefers memorials to be directed to the Bethany Evangelical Church in Houston, Christ Covenant Church in La Crosse, Wisconsin, or to the donor's choice.
