Funeral Service Set For Accident Victim
GIBSON CITY -- (PNS) -- The funeral services for Henry G. Windle, 24, who died late Friday night from injuries received when his motorcycle and a truck collided at McLean and Grove streets, Bloomington, will be held at 2 p.m. (daylight) Monday at the Lamb Funeral home in Gibson City.
The Rev. R. M. Ludde will officiate. Burial will be in the Gibson City cemetery. The American Legion post will have charge of graveside services.
Mr. Windle was born Nov. 2, 1922 at Normal, a son of H. G. and Mary Gandy Windle. He lived at Victory Hall in Normal and attended Drummer Township High school and Illinois State Normal university. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his parents; a brother, Eugene, of California; an uncle, Tony Gandy, and an aunt, Mrs. Harvey Rasmussen, Gibson City.
He was buried in August 1947 in Drummer Township Cemetery, Gibson City, Ford Co., IL, Findagrave #118643714.
Harry George Windle, Jr., began military service WW II service. Cause of death: Motorcycle accident.

Surviving are his mother; five children, Sherri (Rich) Bosshart, Troy (Lila) Schmick, Timothy (Teri) Schmick, Tab (Theresa) Schmick and Taunya Schmick; one brother, Dale (Arla) Schmick; four sisters, Barbara (Edward) Stover, Karen (Jacob) Smith, Debbie Schmick and Diana Flatley; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Donald was a retired carpenter, a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of the Elmwood VFW. Being an avid fisherman, he also was a member of the Peoria Bass 25 Club.
