Richard Carl Richardson, 61, of Pupukea, a surfboard shaper and artist, died in Haleiwa. He was born in Santa Monica, Calif. He is survived by sons Zechariah Richardson and Michael Tracy; daughters Corrina Elsenhart, Kaonahi Richardson and Kualani Thorne; mother Allison K. Dickason; brothers Roger and H.R. Dickason; sisters Carol Peterson, Edith Berry and Peggy Black; and seven grandchildren. Services: 4:30 p.m. tomorrow at Sunset Beach. Casual attire. Donations suggested to Hospice Hawaii.

John C. South

PITTSBURGH, PA: On Tuesday, April 21, 2009, John C. South was reared in Coshocton, OH. He lived in the Pittsburgh area since 1960.

John was a dedicated family man who is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lois (Wilcox) South; father of Ann Warner and Steven (Lisa) South; grandfather of Dylan Warner, Joseph South and Maria South; brother-in-law of Robert (Elizabeth) Wilcox; and uncle of Tara McQuitty; and numerous friends.

John graduated from Muskingum College and received oth a Masters Degree and PhD. from The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. John servied in the army 1953-1955 and was a Korean War Veteran. Upon arriving in Pittsburgh, he worked for Westinghouse Electric in the Testing Center. He then joined the Business School Faculty at Duquesne University, where after nearly 30 years of service, he retired as Professor Emeritus.

Friends were received by the family at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont.
