Darold Barry Stichter was born on 11 April 1948 in Clinton Co., IA. He married Theresa Pettera on 20 February 1970, Theresa and Darrold appear to have divorced in the 1990s and she remarried to a Crocket by 1995. He died on 13 February 2012

Darold B. Stichter, 63, of McCausland, Iowa, died Monday morning, February 13, 2012, at Trinity Rock Island.

Darold Barry Stichter was born April 11, 1948, in Clinton, Iowa, to Emery and Fina (Fuller) Stichter. He was a graduate of North Scott High School and attended Northern Iowa University. Darold served in the Army during the Vietnam Era. He married Theresa Pettera, February 20, 1970. Darold worked at Midwest Salvage Yard in Davenport, Iowa, for many years.

He was a talented artist and enjoyed drawing and painting portraits.

Surviving are his children, Raymond Stichter of Maquoketa, Iowa, and Millissa (Bill) Cole of McCausland; grandchildren, Cody and Dakota Stichter and Tyi, Shawn and Logan Cole; siblings, Gary Stichter, Harry Stichter, Rick Stichter, all of McCausland, Randal Stichter of Sigourney, Iowa, Virginia Martin, of Holiday, Florida, Shirley Schwanki, Hannabal, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Darold in death were his parents and brothers, Donald and Roger.

He was buried in 2012 in Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Rock Island Co., IL, Findagrave #85032914.
