Ralph B. Breidenthal, 79, R.R. 2, Box 90, Harrington, Del., died Wednesday, Oct, 3, 1984, at Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford, Del. A son of the late Irvin G. and Daisy J. Bechoefer, Breidenthal, he was born in Waynesboro on July 3, 1905. He retired in 1968 from Pangborn in Hagerstown, Md. as a construction engineer after 28 years of service.

Mr. Breidenthal was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Christ in Waynesboro and of Prospect Lodge A.F.A.M. in Roslindale, Mass.

Surviving are his wife, LuRay (Haugh) Breidenthal; one daughter, Mrs. Nancy Ricker of Harrington; one son, Ralph E. Breidenthal of Silver Spring, Md.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, John E. Breidenthal

Irvin G. Breidenthal, 89, of 106 Garfield Street died at 10:20 a.m. today at the Martin Manor Nursing Home, Hagerstown. He had been under the care of physicians for several months and when his condition became critical two weeks ago, he was admitted to the nursing home. He was born at Morrison Cove, the son of David S. and Esther Rhodes Breidenthal. His early life was lived in Bedford County. He learned the sheet

metal trade at Woodbury, Pa. in a tinsmith shop. In the early 1890s he came to Waynesboro and was employed several years at Frick Company. He later moved to Frostburg where he was employed at a sheet metal works. He returned to Waynesboro where he again took up employment at Frick Company and in 1910 he was made foreman of the sheet metal department. He remained in that position until 1944, but he continued working there until his retirement in 1947. Mr. Breidenthal served as a member of town council, filling

the unexpired term of one member and in 1912 was elected to a full term. His wife, Daisy Bechhoefer Breidenthal died in 1947. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and Odd Fellows Lodge of Woodbury.

He is survived by three children: Mrs. C. A. Davis, Harrisburg; Ralph B. Breidenthal, Chicago, and John E. Breidenthal, Waynesboro; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. He was the last of his immediate family of eleven children.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday from the Grove Funeral Home conducted by Rev. H. Clayton Mover. Burial will be made in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 Sunday.

Dr. Robert L. Ricker of Harrington, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017, from his home, he was 84. He was born in Waynesboro, PA to the late Dr. H. G. and Flora Mae Ricker Sr.

Dr. Ricker has been involved with veterinary medicine all his life. He started out as field vet in 1959 for a couple years, before he became the state veterinarian from 1961 to 1966. He left the state to pursue his private practice which he did for over 30 years before he sold his practice in 1997, at which point he became the acting state veterinarian once again for several years.

Services will take place on at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, DE, on Sunday, February 12, at 1:30pm, with a visitation starting two hours prior. The interment will take place at Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
