Norma "Jean" Stingley, 71, of South Sioux City died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Ring officiating. Burial will be in Dakota City Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Stingley was born Oct. 5, 1932, in South Sioux City, the daughter of Phillip and Melvina (Jones) Abbe. She graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1950.
She married Ronald H. Stingley on April 3, 1956, in Elk Point, S.D. He died July 8, 1971, in Sioux City.
She was of the Methodist faith. She loved bingo, playing cards, puzzles and fishing. She also loved going freaking north.
She is survived by three sons and their wives, Ron and Maggie Stingley and David and Kim Stingley, all of Dakota City and Don and Pat Stingley of South Sioux City; three daughters, Stephanie and her husband, Mike Cain, Lori and her husband, Richard Rich, and Julie Stingley and her special friend, Bill Donaldson, all of South Sioux City; two brothers and their wives, Bill and Loes Abbe of South Sioux City and Mike and Sue Abbe of Sergeant Bluff; three sisters-in-law, Maxine and her husband, Marvin Koskovich of South Sioux City, Shirley Stingley of Waterbury, Neb., and Barb Abbe of South Sioux City; four brothers-in-law, Dean Stingley of Lincoln, Neb., Harlan Stingley of Jackson, Neb., Dale Stingley of Sioux City and Gayle Ferdig of South Sioux City; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Charles P. Abbe; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Ferdig.
Pallbearers will be John Cain, Rick Miller, Gary and Bryan Tranmer, Mike Tomoson and Jim Langseth.

SOUTH SIOUX CITY – Michael L. Cain, 54, of South Sioux City died Monday, July 10, 2006, at a Sioux City hospital.

Michael was born Sept. 5, 1951, in Sioux City, the son of Lloyd A. And Mabel R. (Rich) Cain. He was a lifelong resident of South Sioux City and was employed as a commercial truck driver for P.C.I. Inc.
He married Stephanie J. Stingley on Jan. 25, 1972 in Elk Point, S.D.
Survivors include his wife, Stephanie; a son, Shane of South Sioux City; three daughters, Kelli and her husband, Bill Bass of Dakota Dunes and Misty and Courtney, both of South Sioux City; his mother, Mabel Cain of South Sioux City; three brothers, Merton Ewing and John and his wife, Shelly Cain, all of South Sioux City and Charles Cain of Walthill, Neb., five sisters, Fern Reese of Washington, Gloria Andrews of Oregon, Judy Barrett of Sioux City, Patty and her husband, Ken Adair of Correctionville, Iowa, Sheila King of Walthill, Neb.; and two granddaughters, Baylie and Grace Bass.
He was preceded in death by his father; and three brothers, Roger, Ricky, and Cleo.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Rogers, Rick and Tim Merchant, Gary Derby, Lee Stansberry and Tom Zastrow.
