Charles "Chuck", 54, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Thursday. Chuck was born to Roger and Florence Williams. Chuck was a 1974 graduate from Lansing Sexton High School and was employed by Builders Plumbing Supply in Lansing for the last 32 years. Chuck was a devoted and loving husband and father. He had a generous nature and always went out of his way to help his family and friends.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Patricia of 28 years; two sons, Christopher and Matthew; daughter, Katherine; brother, Lewis (Julie) Williams; and puppy, Cali.

Chuck was preceded in death by his mother and father. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 16, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Prostrate Cancer Foundation, Santa Monica, CA or Livestrong, Austin, Texas 78702 in memory of Chuck.

Cleaphos Bert Wood was born on 10 May 1924. He married Margaret Ann Slattery on 31 October 1942 in First Methodist Church, Xenia, Greene Co., OH, ceremony by Rev. R. B. Wilson. He married Mary Alice Beineke on 16 April 1949 in Decatur, Adams Co., IN. He died on 11 June 1997

C.B."WOODY" WOOD, 73, of Fort Wayne died Wednesday at home. The Ohio native retired in 1989 as a senior cost engineer at Magnavox Corp. after 32 years of service. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Angola Lodge 236, F & AM, Fort Wayne Valley Scottish Rite, and founder of Over the Hill Club at Magnavox. He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Alice; sons, Gregg of Fort Wayne and Jon of Naperville, Ill.; daughters, Suann Wood of Phoenix, Ariz. and Janis Parrett of Fort Wayne; and six grandchildren.

Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 609 Putnam St. Calling is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Calling is also one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials are to the church or the church food bank.

MARY ALICE (BEINEKE) WOOD, 82, took her journey home to Heaven on Tuesday, July 6, 2010. She passed peacefully in Fort Wayne, with her loving children by her side.

Born in Decatur, she worked as a teacher's aide with Fort Wayne Community Schools for 16 years, retiring in 1989. She was a co-founder of the Food Bank at Trinity United Methodist Church, a part of the Associated Churches' Food Bank of Fort Wayne, member of the PTA at Bloomingdale School, and past secretary of Decatur High School. Her passions included community service and being with family and friends.

She will be missed by sons, Greg (Pamm) Wood of Fort Wayne and Jon (Beth Ann) Wood of Chicago; daughters, Suann Wood of Phoenix and Janis (Roger) Parrett of Roanoke; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and six step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleaphos B. Wood, in 1997; and parents, John and Emma Beineke.

Service is 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 609 Putnam Street, with calling one hour prior. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
