Edith Jane Riegel died in Glenwood Springs, Colorado on May 29, 2018. She was born to Volentine and Lucy DaVault in Pratt, Kansas on November 27, 1928.
Edith grew up in Lamar, Colorado, and started working as a telephone operator there at the age of 16 for Mountain Bell. Loving technology, she was happiest with a phone in her hand and a computer nearby. (shown in picture).
She married the love of her life, Clyde L. Riegel

They later moved to St. George, Utah, where they spent 10 years before returning to Grand Junction in 2007.
After Clyde’s passing in 2010, Edith returned to the Glenwood area. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the bright spot in her life and meant everything to her.
Her family deeply misses her and will cherish the memories and unconditional love she shared with us. She will forever be remembered for her ability to make everyone laugh, her kind and loving heart, and her beautiful smile.
