George Arnold Kinion

Funeral services for George Arnold Kinion of Foley, MO, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 24, 2011 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Allen Calkins, pastor of Star Hope Baptist Church, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry, MO.?Serving as pallbearers will be Frank "Oscar" Kinion, Jr., Joseph "Nicky" Kinion, John Kinion, Tom Kinion, Arlyn Mackey, Shawn Difani and Chuck Starkey.

Mr. Kinion, 66, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 20, 2011 at his home near Foley. Born December 26, 1944 near Elsberry, Mo, he was the son of Marion Franklin "Frank" and Bernice Virginia Bernard Kinion. He owned and operated George's Auto Body in St. Charles, MO for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Bernice Kinion; and one brother, Robert Dale Kinion. Survivors include two daughters: Sandi Difani, and her husband, Shawn, of St. Charles, MO, and Jennifer Bowman of Kansas City, MO; and five grandchildren. He also leaves five brothers: Frank "Oscar" Kinion and his wife, Mary, of Hollywood, MD, Joseph "Nicky" Kinion and his wife, Loretta, of St. Clair, MO, Johnny Kinion and his wife, Jean, of Wentzville, MO, Tommy Kinion and his wife, Dina, of Elsberry, and Steve Kelly and his wife, Rita, of Dallas, TX; two sisters: Barb Haywood and her husband, Tom of Warrenton, MO, and Mary Mackey and her husband, Arlyn of Elsberry; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
