DEATH SUMMONS REV. J. S. GRIFFITH
Rev. J. S. Griffith, formerly one of the well known ministers of the Ohio Methodist Episcopal Conference, died at his home on N. North Street, on Thursday [Jul 4] afternoon at 3:30, aged sixty-four years. After years of devoted service to his calling, Rev. Griffith broke down in health and for several years past has lived a life of quiet consecration in this city. His death will be learned with much regret by many friends and former parishioners. He is survived by a widow, one son and three daughters, in the home in this city, and one daughter, Mrs. Hewitt, in Oregon. Funeral services will be held Sunday [Jul 7] afternoon at Grace M. E. church, at four o'clock. The body will be placed in the mortuary of the Washington Cemetery for interment later.
