NEW BOSTON, Texas—Betty Jean Wendell, 45, of New Boston, died Tuesday from injuries in an automobile accident.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Bates-Rolf Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Boyce English officiating. Burial will be in Center Ridge Cemetery, Maud, Texas.

Mrs. Wendell was born Oct. 18, 1943, in Bowie County, Texas. She was employed with Red River Army Depot and was a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Roy Wendell of New Boston; one son, Vance Wendell of New Boston; one daughter, Lisa Wendell of New Boston; her father, William W. Banks Sr., of New Boston; one brother, William W. Banks Jr. of New Boston; and three sisters, Virginia Hilton of Quinlan, Texas, Barbara Gannon of Dallas, Texas, and Kathy Long of Detroit, Texas.

She was buried in April 1989 in Center Ridge Cemetery, Maud, Bowie Co., TX, Findagrave #125521574.
