AUDREY SHULER, 81
Audrey Shuler, a 35-year resident of Pomona, died Sept. 2, 2002, at Claremont Manor Care Center. She was 81.
Mrs. Shuler was born April 15, 1921, in Milton, Ky.
She was a teacher at Alta Loma High School for 14 years.
She received a bachelor’s degree from Asbury College, Wilmore, Ky.
Mrs. Shuler was a member of Trinity Methodist Church, Pomona.
She was a member of the Philanthropic and Educational Order Sisterhood Chapter MG, United Methodist Church Women and the California Teachers Assn.
She was a church organist.
Mrs. Shuler is survived by a son, the Rev. Robert Pierce Shuler II of Riverside; three daughters, Judy Turner of Whittier, Jill Taylor of Canton, Ohio, and Jan Laurel Jones of Escondido; nine grandchildren; and a brother, Norris Barnes.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Thursday at Todd memorial Chapel, Pomona.
A service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Pomona.
Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery, Claremont.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Institute for Lymphoma Cancer Research, 681 5th Ave., New York, NY 10003.

According to the newspaper article, the married couple returned to their respective parents' homes immediately after the elopement, and Jack returned to his college studies.
