     Funeral services are to be conducted at 3 p.m. this Wednesday in the chapel of the Dawalt Funeral Home, Salem, for Verna M. Gibbons White, 82, of 703 North Main Street, Salem, with the Rev. Howard Davidson officiating. Burial is to follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
     Mrs. White, the widow of the late Lloyd C. White who died in 1957, passed away at the Washington County Memorial Hospital, Salem, Monday at 12:40 a.m.
     The deceased was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church and order of the Eastern Star, chapter 286.
     Mrs. White was born in Washington County, December 22, 1887, a daughter of the late John and Jane Morris Gibbons. She married Mr. White April 23, 1911.
     Surviving are a daughter, Doris Fisher of Crown Point, and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Verna M. Gibbons Dies At Hospital November 23
     Mrs. Verna M. Gibbons White, age 82, of 703 N. Main St., in Salem passed away at 12:40 a.m. on Monday November 23rd at the Washington County Memorial Hospital.
     She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church and Chapter #282 of the Order of Eastern Star and was the widow of Lloyd White who died in 1957.
     She is survived by one daughter; Mrs. Doris Fisher of Crown Point, Indiana, and three grandchildren. One son, John Adam White preceded her in death in 1952.
     Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 23ed at the Dawalt Chapel with Rev. Howard Davison officiating. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem.

She was buried in November 1970 at Crown Hill Cemetery, Salem, Washington Co., IN.

Surviving are a son, Randy Steele, Celina; a stepson, Randy (Ruth) Rumple, Rockford; a stepdaughter, Janet (Mike) Riley, Rockford; a son-in-law, Michael George, Houston, TX; and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a daughter, Christine E. George; and a sister, Margie Casey.

A 1941 graduate of Celina Senior High School, she retired from Mercer County Treasurer’s Office after 30 years of service. She was a member of Rockford United Methodist Church, Rockford, and Celina American Legion Post 210.

Funeral service will be in the Cisco Funeral Home, with Pastor Chip Steffy officiating.

She was buried in November 2015 at North Grove Cemetery, Celina, Mercer Co., OH, Findagrave #65795016.
