     Floyd L. Frederick was born on 24 November 1913 at Souderton, Montgomery Co., PA.¹ He was the son of Howard Vincent Frederick and Estella K. Landis.

     Frederick Frederick was born on 16 March 1872 at Baltimore, MD. He married Lulu Francina Kitzmiller, daughter of Franklin John Wesley Kitzmiller and Lavinia Hartzel, on 14 September 1898 at Highland, Doniphan Co., KS. Frederick Frederick died on 29 February 1944 at St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., MO, at age 71.

     Harold Kitzmiller Frederick was born on 18 June 1899 at St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., MO. He was the son of Frederick Frederick and Lulu Francina Kitzmiller. Harold Kitzmiller Frederick died on 12 November 1978 at New Orleans, Orleans Par., LA, at age 79.

     Howard Vincent Frederick was born on 23 September 1884 at Montgomery Co., PA.¹ He was the son of Edwin Frederick and Mary Price. Howard Vincent Frederick married Estella K. Landis, daughter of John Landis and Lizzie Kratz.¹ Howard Vincent Frederick lived in 1918 at Souderton, Montgomery Co., PA.² He died on 2 October 1918 at age 34.¹

     Irene Isabelle Frederick was born on 12 September 1900 at Missouri. She married Peter C. Voss on 24 April 1923. Irene Isabelle Frederick died on 28 May 1992 at age 91.

     Katherine Barnes Frederick was born on 4 January 1894 at St. Louis, MO. She married Harry Ernest Schornstein on 28 April 1919 at St. Louis, MO. Cause of death: on 26 September 1949 Suicide. Katherine Barnes Frederick died on 26 September 1949 at Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN, at age 55. She was buried on 28 September 1949 at Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN.

She was the daughter of Charles Frederick and Isabelle Ruth Cook.¹ Marie Frederick married Raymond Leland Wilton, son of Edgar Howland Sniffen and Gertrude Emily Moniger, on 13 October 1929 at Union Co., SD, This marriage was over, with no surviving children, before May, 1934, when Raymond remarried to Dorothy Meuleveld.

Marie Frederick lived in April 1930 at Sioux City, Woodbury Co., IA.² She and Raymond Leland Wilton were divorced. Marie Frederick married Joseph C. Hungerford on 7 September 1934 at South Sioux City, Dakota Co., NE. Marie Frederick died on 30 November 1999 at Sioux City, Woodbury Co., IA, at age 86.      Marjorie L. Frederick was born circa 1906 at Buchanan Co. (probably), MO. She was the daughter of Frederick Frederick and Lulu Francina Kitzmiller.

     Mary Elizabeth Frederick was born on 21 May 1871 at Maryland.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel Frederick and Margaret Ann Rebecca Flair.¹ Mary Elizabeth Frederick married William H. Hurley, son of Moses Lee Hurley and Mahala Stottlemyer, in 1891. Mary Elizabeth Frederick died on 5 March 1940 at Springfield, Clark Co., OH, at age 68.      Mary Magdalene Frederick was born circa 1770 at Pennsylvania.¹ She was the daughter of Nicholas Frederick and Catherine (?) Mary Magdalene Frederick married John Starr, son of Moses Starr and Anna Margarethe Quattelbaum, on 8 September 1788. Mary Magdalene Frederick lived on 23 August 1850 at Beaver Twp., Guernsey (now Noble) Co., OH, Living with William Starr, age 32 (b. abt. 1818). This was her grandson, son of John Starr. Also in the household was Susannah Starr, age 60 (b. abt 1790) -- this could have be an unmarried daughter.¹ She died after 23 August 1850 at Batesville, Noble Co., OH.

     Minnie M. C. Frederick was born on 11 December 1878.¹ She was the daughter of Peter M. Frederick and Mary P. Cassel.¹ Minnie M. C. Frederick married Osborne Jones on 6 April 1899, Ceremony by Rev. Hillary Krauthammel.¹

     Nelson C. Frederick was born on 5 October 1885.¹ He was the son of Peter M. Frederick and Mary P. Cassel.¹ Nelson C. Frederick died on 22 February 1903 at age 17.¹

According to Frederick family histories, Nicholas Frederick's ancestors were German, and Nicholas, may have been born circa 1745 in Germany or Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. There is documentation that Nicholas served in the American Revolution as a private fifth class in the 5th Company, 4th Battalion of the Cumberland County Pennsylvania Militia under Captain John Hamilton. Nicholas married "Catherine" circa 1767 probably in Pennsylvania. He was a farmer and a cooper.

The earliest records of the family are in the counties of Cumberland, Perry, and Mifflin, Pennsylvania. Although the family may have moved during these early times, we suspect that they may have stayed in the same locale, but the boundaries of the counties changed. The earliest record of Nicholas Frederick is 1777 in Pfout's Valley, Perry or Cumberland County, Pennsylvania where he is listed as a member of St. Michael's Church. There is a listing for Nicholas Frederick in Cumberland County, Fermanagh Township as an inhabitant in 1778. In 1787, Nicholas is listed in a Cumberland County court case and he posted the bail.

In a history book pertaining to Juniata, Perry, Mifflin, and Union Counties, Pennsylvania there is documentation that Nicholas Frederick owned acreage on Laurel Run. The land passed from William Campbell to Nicholas and on November 7, 1791 an order was issued to survey the 200 acres belonging to Nicholas Frederick. On April 28, 1796 the property was resurveyed and found to have only 195 acres. "In 1807, however, Frederick found, improved, and held 24 acres vacant land adjoining the creek and Nevil." In Mifflin County, Tuskarora Valley, Pennsylvania there is a document dated December 22, 1790 in which Nicholas Frederick told the court that he had passed three bonds for land, but the owner has yet to make good on the purchase.

The 1800 Pennsylvania Federal Census report for Mifflin County shows that Nicholas Frederick had five boys and two girls living in his home. Nicholas Frederick purchased 529 acres of land in Fairfield Township, Section 6 in the northeast corner of Columbiana County, Ohio on July 23, 1806 from Rudolph and Barbara Blair. At the time of the land transaction, the Frederick family was living in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. It is unclear as to when the family began the journey to Ohio. Sons John and David and daughters Catherine and Susan all removed to Jefferson County, Ohio, lived within various townships, raised families and died there. A number of their descendants continued to live within the county. Nicholas Frederick has a 1820 census enumeration in Island Creek Township, Jefferson County, Ohio. He is enumerated directly under Abraham Grafton, husband of his daughter Susan. Although the record is very difficult to read, it appears that only Nicholas and Catherine are living together and all of their children have left home.

Nicholas Frederick died in 1824. His will, dated January 27, 1824 and probated April 19, 1824 lists him as residing in Salem Township. The document asks that his, "wife shall have enough to support her and all the remainder of the estate shall be divided amongst my four sons and five daughters and that his daughter, Mary, shall have my Bible." Sons Conrad and Joseph Frederick, residents of Columbiana County, Ohio, were the executors. Catherine Frederick, who was confined to her bed during her last two years, was cared for during this time by her son, Joseph Frederick. She died in 1829. Family history lists that both Nicholas and Catherine Frederick are buried in the Lutheran Cemetery in Washingtonville, Columbiana County, Ohio.

The Columbiana County, Ohio Cemetery Inscription survey compiled in 1975 showed no marker for Nicholas or Catherine in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery as well as a through visual survey in 2012. However an abandoned family plot was reported in Vol. 5, pg.67:

"The Frederick family cemetery of about 16 graves is on the knoll east of the barn on the Harry Neiheisel farm in the southern part of Section 6. Members of the Frederick family would make annual trips from Chicago by way of the Pennsylvania Railroad to Leetonia to mow and take care of the cemetery."

They reported the cemetery abandoned which is true. But Peter Neiheisel who lives in his grandfather's home at 912 Beeson Mill Rd. (Fairfield Twp., Sec 6), reported in 2012 that he remembers the cemetery as a boy about 75 yards behind his home. In recent years a headstone was unearthed but the inscription proved unreadable. In 2013 an on site inspection found the area plowed under and prepared for planting. The knoll north east of the barn has been farmed for 20 years. Peter recalls several stone markers being stacked against the barn many years ago, but no stones were located. It is very likely that this is Nicholas and Catherine's true resting place or at least those of his son Joseph's family.

     Raymond Frederick was born on 25 September 1895 at Souderton, Montgomery Co., PA.¹ He was the son of Edwin Frederick and Mary Price. Raymond Frederick died on 19 May 1907 at Souderton, Montgomery Co., PA, at age 11.¹

     Russell L. Frederick was born on 19 September 1908 at Souderton, Montgomery Co., PA.¹ He was the son of Howard Vincent Frederick and Estella K. Landis.

     Samuel Frederick was born in 1843 at Frederick Co., MD.¹ He married Margaret Ann Rebecca Flair in 1865. Samuel Frederick died on 29 October 1917 at Clark Co., OH. He was buried in 1917 at Lawrenceville Cemetery, Lawrenceville, Clark Co., OH, Findagrave #6073820.

     Susan Frederick was born on 18 October 1899 at Souderton, Montgomery Co., PA.¹ She was the daughter of Edwin Frederick and Mary Price. Susan Frederick died on 11 October 1902 at Souderton, Montgomery Co., PA, at age 2.¹

     Wanda Frederick was born on 16 August 1940. She married Donald W. Goering, son of Arthur Clarence Goering and Avis Leona Fortune, in 1959, Two sons. Wanda Frederick died on 14 November 2012 at age 72.

     William Frederick married Barbara Metz.
