Marsha L. Gau, age 58 of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday August 6, 2020 at Heartland of Hillsboro. She was born September 28, 1961 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Charles A. and Carolyn (Godfrey) Gau. She is survived by her life companion, Michael Knight; her granddaughter Brookelyn Thomas; a son, Eddie (fianceé Tamara Rodgers) Thomas; Brookelyn’s mother Michelle Thomas; four siblings Judith Ann (Jesse) Johnson, David Gau, Kenny (Lisa) Gau, Diana Marie Long; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Gau. Visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Wednesday August 12, 2020 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. The funeral service will follow visitation at 11 am. The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Fairfield Cemetery in Fairborn.

     Raymond C. Gauch was born on 17 July 1889 at Preble Co., OH; son of Jacob H. and Sarah J. (Lyons) Gauch. He was educated in 1915; Ohio State University, class of 1915. He married Martha Elizabeth Forsythe, daughter of Howard Johnson Forsythe and Amanda M. Conway, on 11 June 1923 at Franklin Co., OH; no children. The marriage appears not to have lasted long, as she was living with her mother in Cambridge and using her maiden name as of the 1930 census, while Raymond was single and living in Columbus in the same census.

Raymond C. Gauch lived between 1915 and 1965 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH. He died on 6 July 1965 at Mt. Carmel Hospital, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, at age 75.

     Josephine Gaul married Paul Stoner Miller, son of Isaac Stoner Miller and Emma N. Miller, on 20 September 1919.

     Pauline Lucille Gaul was born on 31 January 1922. She married Philip Joseph McAndrews on 9 September 1946 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Earling, Shelby Co., IA. He was born on November 5, 1964 in Fayette County to John and Karen Fuller Gault. He had worked at Fayette Fire and Safety and also worked many jobs involving construction. He attended the Heritage Memorial Church and loved working all the time.

He was proceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, of South Carolina; two daughters; two brothers as well as two nephews and three nieces.

Robert Blaine Gaumer, 93, passed away at his residence on Saturday, April 4, 2015.

Born May 7, 1921, in Sand Patch, PA, to the late John C. and Lottie (Baer) Gaumer.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Alma V. “Granny” Gaumer; two brothers, Clarence L. Gaumer and John Gaumer; sister, Mary Ellen Gaumer. Robert was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Mr. Gaumer was member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Salisbury, PA, and a retired electrician from Chessie Railroad.
He was U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a lifetime member of Eastern Garrett Vol. Fire & Resuce Dept., as well as the Salisbury V.F.W. Post 8826.

Surviving are his children, Phyllis Swick and husband Bob, Ron Gaumer and wife Sharon, Don Gaumer and wife Debbie, Anita McCartney and husband Michael, Bea Gaumer; Grandchildren, Lisa Jones and husband Dale, Jason Gaumer and wife Lisa, Brian Gaumer and wife Sarah, Amanda Simpson and husband Kraig, Jeff Gaumer and wife Talesa, Eric Smith and wife Misty; Great Grandchildren, Kayden, Gracie, Charlotte, Dallas, Blaine and Ethan; Great step Grandchildren, Daniel, Josh, Amber, and Karaline; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, from 2 to 9 p.m. Eastern Garrett Volunteer Fire Department will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ingrid Chenoweth officiating, assisted by Pastor Richard Schoenly.

Interment will be in Greenville Lutheran Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons, Jason, Jeff and Brian Gaumer, Eric Smith, Kraig Simpson and Dale Jones.

Military Honors will be accorded at graveside by members of the Farrady Post 24 American Legion Honor Guard and accompanied by Salisbury Post 8826.

Mr. Gawthorp was born December 11, 1907 in Edward County, s/o Charles and Willie Nesbitt Gawthorp. He married Eva McDowell in 1928. She died in 1943.      Elizabeth Hawes Gay was born on 16 February 1912 at Bourbon Co., KY. She was the daughter of William Winston Gay and Margaret Woodford. Elizabeth Hawes Gay married Maurice Washington Miller, son of Marice Simpson Miller and Martha S. Tracy, in 1933. Elizabeth Hawes Gay and Maurice Washington Miller were divorced. Elizabeth Hawes Gay died on 2 November 1979 at Fayette Co., KY, at age 67. She was buried in November 1979 at Winchester Cemetery, Winchester, Clark Co., KY, Findagrave #131985867.

     Katherine Lamme Gay was born on 3 February 1874 at Kentucky.¹ She married John Wendell Reading, son of William Thomas Reading and Elizabeth Cowan Venable, circa 1905.¹ Katherine Lamme Gay and John Wendell Reading were divorced before 7 January 1920. Katherine Lamme Gay lived on 17 January 1920 at 114 Duncan Avenue, Paris, Bourbon Co., KY, with her sister and brother in-law's household.² She died in May 1969 at Lexington, Fayette Co., KY, at age 95.¹
