Mae Getsin Novick Weis passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on June 24, 2010. A lifelong Memphian, she attended Central High School as well as Ohio State University where she was a member of Sigma Delta Tau sorority. She enjoyed traveling but, her main source of joy was the time she spent with her husband, children, grandchildren and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Morton H. Novick, parents, Nathan and Reba Getsin, and sister, Zelda Grossbart. She leaves her husband of 26 years, Dr. Max Weis, Jr., sister, Thelma Cohn of Memphis; her children, Mark and Marla Novick of Jericho, NY, Keith and Louise Novick of Memphis, Patty Tatlock of Covington, TN and Mike Weis of Memphis. She also leaves her grandchildren, Lauren and Justin Brody, Jennifer Novick, and Daniel Novick, all of New York; Brett Novick and Blake Novick of Jericho, NY; Megan and Forest Tatlock and Sara Glenn of Covington, TN, and Hailey and Brittany Plyer of Memphis. Services will be held 10 a.m., Sunday, June 27, at the Levy-Cooper Chapel in Temple Israel Cemetery.      Erma Jewell Gettings was born on 24 September 1932 at Alvaton, Warren Co., KY. She was the daughter of Elmer Leonard Gettings and Ruth Wolfe.¹ Erma Jewell Gettings married James Orville Wimpee, son of Joseph Harrison Wimpee and Lillie Morris Creek, in 1949. Erma Jewell Gettings died on 29 December 2003 at age 71. She was buried in January 2004 at Old Liberty Cemetery, Alvaton, Warren Co., KY, Findagrave #179730853.

     Anne Scott Gettys was born on 14 March 1983 at Charlottesville, VA. She died on 17 April 2004 at Rock Hill, York Co., SC, at age 21.

Mary Getzendanner married David Miller, son of John Miller and Elizabeth Price, on 17 December 1812 at Frederick Co., MD. Mary Getzendanner died on 1 February 1854 at Martinsburg, Berkeley Co., VA (now WV), at age 61.

     Frank Gheen married Esther Verna Oswalt. Frank Gheen was born on 1 July 1902 at Osborn, Greene Co., OH. He was the son of George Henry Gheen and Susanna Ellas Semler. Frank Gheen died on 20 July 1986 at age 84.

     George Henry Gheen was born on 18 June 1870. He was the son of Thomas Gheen and Mary Jane Heffner. George Henry Gheen married Susanna Ellas Semler, daughter of Walter John Semmler and Dorotha Wilhelmina Louisa Schmidt, on 18 May 1893. George Henry Gheen died on 10 June 1959 at age 88.
