Trial List of Civil Cases
The first case upon which a jury was drawn was that of George P. Kline administrator of the estate of Louisa Hess, Martin J. Gobrecht, Samuel S. Gobrecht, Henry L. Gobrecht, George P. Kline assignee of Daniel Gobrecht now deceased, Eli J. Gobrecht, Louisa C Resh, Elizabeth Resh, Christina Baughman and Annie W. Kline, plaintiffs vs. Ruben Bair, defendant. The action was brought to re cover the amount of an old bond for about $275 with interest, given 35 years or more ago. The bond was payable to Jacob Gobrecht, Trustee. When the case had advanced to a certain point Judge Stewart held that executors of Jacob Gobrecht, deceased, ought to have been made party plaintiffs. The plaintiffs named were those who would be eventually entitled to whatever was recovered. After this ruling the plaintiffs moved to amend their action by adding as party plaintiffs the names of the executors of Jacob Gobrecht. The amendment was allowed. The defendant at once plead surprise, that he was not prepared to makes defense against the new plaintiffs at this court and filed an affidavit, to that effect. The case was then continued, costs of the term to be paid by the plaintiffs, Geo. J Benner and C. J. Delone, Esqs., represented plaintiffs and W. C. Sheely Esq., defendant.

The next case ......."
