He was 17 years older than Hazel. They were listed together living at Muscatine on the January 1925 Iowa state census, but the marriage broke up before April 1930 when Hazel was listed under her maiden name at Muscatine, age 24, divorced, waitress, and Charles was listed living with his older brother, Robert. After Reginald's death, Hazel remarried to Jack W. Lawrence on 14 DEC 1963 at Portland, Oregon.

Hazel Hahn lived on 1 April 1935 at Chico, Butte Co., CA.2 She lived on 20 April 1940 at Falls City, Richardson Co., NE.2 She died on 5 May 2007 at Clackamas Co., OR, at age 102 Dates per SSDI, last residence Portland.

LEONARD M. HAHN - Friday - January 22, 1993

CHELAN _ Leonard M. Hahn, 96, a longtime resident of Manson, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1993, in the Regency Manor Convalescent Center at Chelan.

He was born Oct. 21, 1896, at Illinois City, Ill., to Charles and Coquessa (Coulter) Hahn.

His family moved to Tacoma in 1907, then to Muscatine, Iowa, in 1912. He moved to Billings, Mont., in 1916 and worked as a welder. He joined the U.S. Army in 1917 then returned to Muscatine after his discharge in 1919. He moved to Tacoma in 1921 and worked as a crane operator at St. Paul and Tacoma Lumber Co. He was the foreman of the dry chain crew.
He married Tillie "Teddy'' Klapstein on Dec. 15, 1923, at Tacoma. They bought and subdivided a 10-acre orphanage in Tacoma in 1938. They moved to Manson in 1943 where he owned and operated an orchard. He retired in the early 1970s but worked with his son until a few years ago.

He was a past member of the Kiwanis and Manson Grange. He was a member of the American Legion and the Manson United Methodist Church. He was a longtime member of the Republican party and a fund-raiser for the Lake Chelan Community Hospital. He marched in the Manson Apple Blossom parade in his World War II uniform with the color guard.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Wally of Manson; a brother, Marshall of Buckeye, Ariz; three sisters, Vera Rine of Yuba City, Calif., Hazel Lawrence of Portland, Ore. and Katherine Curtiss of Eugene, Ore; two granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Arrangements are by Precht Rose Chapel of Chelan.

He was buried in January 1993 at Chelan Fraternal Cemetery, Chelan, Chelan Co., WA, Findagrave #24309448.

Maxine Shields, age 89, of Corpus Christi, Texas died Sunday evening in Corpus Christi. Born August 16, 1928 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Ivan and Dorothy (Carmichael) Hahn. She graduated from Ellettsville High School, was a charter member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and was a member of St. Peters By the Sea United Methodist Church in Corpus Christi. She married Joseph Shields on July 25, 1958 at the Crossroads United Methodist Church. Before her retirement, she was a loan officer for the Navy Army Credit Union in Corpus Christi.

Maxine is survived by her two daughters, Janet S. Bussell and Carol (Larry) Cox, both of Corpus Christi, her sister, Phyllis Durnal, of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Daniel Bussell, Jr., Nicholas Cox and Christopher Cox and two great-grandchildren, Michael and Jessica Bussell.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Joseph Shields in 2005.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Valhalla Memory Gardens with Rev. David Mullens officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Society.

Day and Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home in Bloomington is in charge of arrangements.

Morris C. Hahn

TACOMA, Wash. -- Morris C. Hahn, 86, formerly of Muscatine, died at Tacoma Tuesday.

Services are at 3 p.m. Friday at the New Tacoma Funeral House Chapel, 9212 Chamber Creek Road West, Tacoma, 98467. Burial will be at the New Tacoma Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral chapel.

Mr. Hahn was born Dec. 17, 1902 at Andalusia, Ill., a son of Charles L. and Coquesia Belle Coulter Hahn.

He was of the Methodist faith. While in Muscatine he was engaged in farming.

Survivors include his wife, the former Helen Perdue; three sons, Clifford E. of Federal Way, Wash; Allen H. of Davenport; and Arnold L. of Reynolds, Ill; one daughter, Loretta Pratt of Tacoma; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was buried in June 1989 at New Tacoma Cemetery, University Place, Pierce Co., WA, Findagrave #63371222.
