Ada Vee Hash Whitaker, age 75, of Bristol, TN, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at the Wellmont Hospice House.

She was born June 12, 1932 in Harr, TN, a daughter of the late Harvey and Susie Cox Hash. She was a former employee of Big Jack, L.C. King and Cozy Dozy. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her special parents, Charlie & Bessie Combs.

The funeral service for Mrs. Whitaker will be held at 7PM, Thursday, May 29, 2008 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby King officiating. The burial will be held at 11AM, Friday, in Moore Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Whitaker's grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7, Thursday evening, prior to the funeral service.

Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home.

She was buried in May 2008 at Moore Cemetery, Bristol, Washington Co., VA.

He was a son to Ralph and Mellie (Lampy) Hasis. He married Ruth Joan Thomas, who survives.

Surviving are three sons, Jeffery Hasis, Van Wert, Bradley (Pamela) Hasis, Port St. Lucie, FL, and Steven Fought, Toledo; two daughters, Linda (Bob) Tobias, Van Wert, and Cathy (Dr. Michael) Ruhlen, Charlotte, NC; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A retired farmer, he was a lifelong member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church. He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War in Panama. He attended Mendon-Union High School. He was a member of American Legion Post 508 and Shanes Lodge 377 Free & Accepted Masons, both of Rockford.

Services are at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, with Rev. Kenneth Baker, officiating.

He was buried in May 2011 at Tomlinson Cemetery, Mendon, Mercer Co., OH, Findagrave #69294691.
