His first marriage was to Susan Cash. They had one child, Loula (b. Nov. 1881), His second marriage, 16 Mar 1882 was to Sarah Catherine Hobbs. George and Sarah had eight children: Johnnie (b. SHELTON - J. M. Hawk, a pioneer citizen, died Tueday and buried to day. Last Saturday he was uptown in his usual health and became enraged at some trivial matter and was taken home worrying over the matter,hhe took an overdose of medicine from which he never rallied. He was a member of the Woodmen, also the United Workmen and carried other insurances. He leaves four children.

"Nancy" was a popular nickname for "Ann", and the middle name was commonly used as the "calling" name in the 19th century. No other candidates for Julia A. Hawk can be found in the 1850 and 1860 censuses of Highland and nearby counties. DLB 2012.1 She married Jasper Roush, son of Jonas Roush and Rachel Chaplin, on 16 November 1867 at Highland Co., OH. Julia A. Hawk died before 1876 at Marion Co. (probably), IA.1

Linda Marie Hawk Cunningham - age 64 of Knoxville passed away Monday, August 3, 2020 at her home following a brief illness.

She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Linda had a true volunteer spirit donating her time and efforts to many local groups and charities. She loved life and lived it to the fullest enjoying music and the outdoors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Richard and Betty Hawk.

Survived by her fiancé, Gary Noe; children: Justin Cunningham (Dorothy), Whitney Mills (Josh) and Matthew Smith (Stephanie); grandchildren: Blake Mills, Weston Mills, Dillon Raines, Mason Cunningham and River and Jaxon Shackelford; brothers, John (Karen) Hawk, and Dr. David (Tracy) Hawk; nieces and nephews: Chris (Lauren) Hawk, Chelsea Hawk, Taylor and Chandler Hawk. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 8th in the Hickory Valley Cemetery for graveside services and interment. A celebration of her life will be held on the family farm at a later date.
