Permelia Frances Hubbard married John Henry Windle, son of William Windle and Cynthia Ann Parker, on 13 September 1858 at Greenbrier Co., VA (now WV), Ceremony by A. C. Westwood. The marriage appears to have deteriorated by the summer of 1880 when the census was taken -- Permelia is listed in Kanawha County as the head of household and her occupation was taking in laundry and ironing, while John was living with his brother in Greenbrier County. John H. Wendell later married Sarah F. Hughes on 29 JUN 1882, Summers County, WV.
