Mary Hershey
F, b. 4 March 1844, d. 1863
Mary Hershey was born on 4 March 1844 at Ogle Co., IL.1 She was the daughter of Isaac Hershey and Susan Long. Mary Hershey lived on 16 September 1850 at Pine Creek Twp., Ogle Co., IL, 1850 census shows age 7.1 She lived on 12 July 1860 at Pine Creek Twp., Ogle Co., IL.2 She married Daniel W. Buck on 25 January 1863 at Ogle Co., IL. Mary Hershey died in 1863.
Note: No evidence of this Mary (Hershey) Buck is found after the 1863 marriage record. Looking at the Illinois statewide marriage index (online at www.ilsos.gov), a Daniel W. Buck married Elizabeth C. Hines on 11 JAN 1864 at Du Page County. This Daniel and Elizabeth Buck couple is not found in the 1870 census. A marriage of D. W. Buck to Susan Richter was recorded on 10 sep 1874 at Lewis and Clark County, Montana. This individual turns out to have been Daniel Webster Buck, born about 1840 at Erie County (probably), New York, as listed on the 1850 census, Lancaster, p. 171B. He was listed in 1863 as a painter, married, in the Onondaga County, NY Civil War draft registrations. He and "Susie" were listed in 1880 at Helena, Montana, where he died on 1 JAN 1892 and was buried at Forestvale Cemetery, Find-A-Grave memorial #67274416. His headstone was a millitary headstone, and the records show he served in Co. E, 8th Illinois cavalry, mustered in at St. Charles, Illinois with residence at Naperville.
At least one online genealogy shows this Mary Hershey married to Samuel C. Beckley. The Mary I. Hershey who married Samuel Beckely on 23 OCT 1865 at Washington County, Maryland was the daughter of John Jefferson Hershey and Christiana M. Bair/Baer, born 10 MAR 1844, died 29 MAR 1909 at Big Pool, Washington County, Maryland, and was buried at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church cemetery at Big Pool.
Based on the above facts, I believe that Mary Hershey died within the year after her 1863 marriage to Daniel W. Buck. DLB 2019.

Nancy Hershey1
F, b. 18 November 1852
Nancy Hershey was born on 18 November 1852 at Pine Creek Twp., Ogle Co., IL.1 She was the daughter of Isaac Hershey and Susan Long. Nancy Hershey lived on 12 July 1860 at Pine Creek Twp., Ogle Co., IL.1
Note: Nancy Hershey, daughter of Isaac and Susan (Long) Hershey was clearly listed, age 7, on the 1860 census, Pine Creek Twp., Ogle County, Illinois. She was not listed in Isaac Hershey's household in the 1870 census (Neosho Falls, Woodson County, KS), however a marriage shortly prior to that date would not be improbable.
This Nancy, daughter of Isaac and Susan Hershey appears in a couple of ancestry.com online genealogies, including Seth Bohm's Family Tree, prepared by sethbohm, in which she is shown married to William Norman Hubble (1840 - 1912) with a daughter Clara Pauline (1876 - 1966); also in the Stacey Riley Family genealogy, prepared by mark provance, showing a marriage to James Robinson, with a son Michael born about 1879, and cites the 1880 census of Carbondale, Jackson County, IL.
Checking the first tree, I find William N. Hubble, born 1840 in Missouri, in Monterey County, California in voter registrations as early as 1886, as well as the 1900 and 1910 censuses of San Antonio Township, widowed farmer, parents born Vermont (1900) or Virginia (1910). A William Hubble, age 40, born in Missouri with parents born in Virginia, is listed in Sacramento County, California on the 1880 census, with apparent 15-year old son William, and no daughter Clara. This same William N. Hubble is included in the Ingram Family Tree genealogy, prepared by waltergina, also on ancestry.com. In this presentation, he was married to Minerva Barnett in 1860, with two sons and a daughter born during 1861 - 1869. His daughter Sarah (1867 - 1941) has a California Death Index listing, showing her mother's maiden name was Salazar.
Checking the Stacey Riley Family genealogy, the parental demographics for that Nancy Robinson are wrong, although the age of 28 is close to correct. The Illinois online marriage index does not list any marriage for a Nancy or Ann Hershey to a Robinson, and the listed marriages for James Robinson(s) do not align with the couple listed in 1880. The online genealogy shows death in California, but the online California death index begins in 1940, and she is not listed in it.
In conclusion, not a single item of documentation that I can find, presented in any of these genealogies or found elsewhere, for any event after the 1860 census, demonstrates that Nancy Hershey survived to adulthood, married, or had any children. DLB 2019.
