Mantooth, daughter of Stephen Phineas Mantooth and Flora Ellen Newman, on 19 December 1916 at Washington Co., IN, no children listed in 1920 or 1930 censuses. Earl Lewis Anderson lived on 3 April 1930 at Paterson, Passaic Co., NJ.2 He and Hazel O. Mantooth were divorced after 3 April 1930; Hazel later married Charley Oscar Bowman. Occupation: Mechanic in 1930.2 Earl Lewis Anderson lived in April 1940 at 825 West Tipton Street, Seymour, Jackson Co., IN; census p.15A, marital status "single." Occupation: Service Station Owner in 1940. He married Madeline Rivers Seybold on 31 July 1943. Mrs. Effie D. Spurgeon, age 86, a residence of Route 3, Salem, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 1 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Spurgeon was born October 14, 1889 in Washington County, the daughter of William P. and Annis Floyd Anderson. She was a member of the Salem Church of Christ. Her husbands, Clyde Terrell and Simon Spurgeon preceded her in death.
Survivors are a son Lendall Terrell, Salem; a daughter, Lalah Yarbrough, Salem; two brothers, Everett Anderson and Glenn Anderson, both of Salem; a sister, Mrs Hazel Walker, Salem; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:p.m. Saturday at the Weathers Funeral Home by Bro. Ed Williams, Interment followed in Crown Hill Cemetery.

She was buried in July 1976 at Crown Hill Cemetery, Salem, Washington Co., IN.

An Infare Dinner
A very pleasant day was spent last Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lebert Payne when their eldest son Kenneth O. Payne brought home his bride, Mrs. Estelle Anderson Payne. The bride and groom arrived just before the noon hour. The bride was beautifully attired in a white georgette dress. The groom wore a blue serge suit. A long table was spread in the yard, decorated with bouquets of ferns and June roses and covered to the utmost with all kinds of good eats.
Those present were Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Payne and Mrs. Stella Waisner and daughter Mildred of Howard Park, Eddie Motsinger and family, Manson Motsinger and family, Roscoe Mull and family, Ernest Motsinger and family, Ellis Motsinger and family, Lige Newlon and family, Raymond Motsinger and family, Roy Walker and family, Dempsey Motsinger and wife, Lebert Gorman and wife, Chas M. and Sarah Motsinger, Mrs. Mary E. Graves, Mrs. Jane VanMeter, Mrs. Anise Anderson, Mrs. Effie Terrell, Misses Hazel Anderson, Irene Wagoner, Lelah Terrell, Mr. Glen Anderson, Mr. Tony Markland, Mr. and Mrs. Lebert Payne and children Morris and Geneve.
They received many beautiful and useful presents.

Estella Mae Anderson married Orville Fred Williams, son of James Williams and Anna Belle Callaway, on 18 September 1947. Estella Mae Anderson died on 3 November 1974 at Washington Co., IN, at age 73 OBITUARY - The Salem, Indiana Leader, November 13, 1974:

ESTELLA ANDERSON WILLIAMS
     Estella Mae Anderson Williams, widow of Orville Williams, passed away Sunday morning, November 3, 1974 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital, after a long illness.
     She was born February 8, 1901, daughter of William F. and Annis Floyd Anderson of Franklin Township, Washington County, Indiana. She attended the Hickory Grove school and became a member of the Church of Christ at Cross Roads, later transferring her membership to Salem.
     During the war years she was a government employee at Charlestown.
     On September 18, 1947 she was married to Orville Williams and lived at the farm home north of Salem until her husband’s death in 1964. At that time she established a home of her own in Salem until failing health caused her to reside with her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Walker. For the past two years she was cared for at the Williams Convalescent Center, and given the devoted attention of her family.
     She is survived by a daughter, Virginia Atkins, with her husband, Norman and two sons, Barry and Mark, of Lexington Ky; two brothers, Everett Anderson and wife Sylvia, and Glenn Anderson and wife Helen, of Salem; and two sisters, Effie Spurgeon of Dania, Florida; and Hazel Walker and husband Walter of Salem; also many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

     Funeral services were held at the Dawalt Funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 2:00 P.M., conducted by Bro. Earl Mullins of the Highway Church at Pekin, with burial in the Olive Branch Cemetery, near her parents.
     Pallbearers were Mark and Barry Adkins, Odessa Jackson, William Anderson, Max Anderson and Manson McKinley.

She was buried in November 1974 at Olive Branch Cemetery, Polk Twp., Washington Co., IN.
