of Old Town, Florida, died Friday, January 17, 2003 in Gainesville, Fla. He was born in Gary, Ind., and moved to Old Town 10 years ago from Land O’ Lakes, Fla. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 41 years, Maryanne and a daughter, Gloria Jean Comacho.

Survivors include wife, Nancy; daughters, Sandra (Tom) Klecka, Pam (Lannie Joe) Stewart, Karen (Mitch) Wilkins all of Tampa, Florida, Carolan Bell, Jeanette (Phil) Powers of Memphis, Tennessee, and Maureen Roundtree of Utah; a son-in-law, Sam Comacho. He was a retired IHB Railroad, Assistant Train Master. Memberships and hobbies included Moose Lodge #325, Trenton, Florida; avid boater, hunter and Nascar fan.

Hainline and Alice Rose McClellan, before April 1910, James was listed on the 1900 federal census with a wife Lola, in Arapaho County, Colorado. Nona was married to John Wendell and living at Lincoln, Logan County, Illinois as of the 1900 census. James and Nona were listed as a married couple on the 1910 census, however the "years married" number was "0" -- they may or may not have been legally married. If they were, it was for only a few years, as she remarried to Charles Naffziger in May 1916.

James A. Hollandsworth lived on 18 April 1910 at 406 North Washington Street, Junction City, Geary Co., KS, retail shoe salesman.2 He died on 16 January 1944 at Emporia, Lyon Co., KS, at age 69

Hollandsworth Rites

Funeral services for James A. Hollandsworth, who died Sunday evening at 6:35 o'clock at the Newman Memorial County hospital, were held Wednesday afternoon at the 2:30 o'clock at the Roberts-Blue Funeral home. The Rev. Stephen J. Williams, pastor of the First Congregational church, conducted the services. Mrs. Don Haynes and Mrs. Glenn A. Blue sang, accompanied by Mr. E. J. Lewis. The pallbearers were: Roger Campbell, Bruce Polly, A.J. La Certe, Ferris Hill, H.P. Norton and Lon King. Burial was in Maplewood.

Out of town relatives who attended the services were a brother, W.A. Hollandsworth, and Mrs. Hollandsworth, Belleville; and a nephew, Roy Leatherberry, Jr., Glenwood, Ark.

The Emporia Masonic Lodge had part in the services at the funeral home with Francis Myers as acting master.

He was buried in January 1944 at Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia, Lyon Co., KS, Findagrave #103104421.
