He married Mayme Ruth Keedy, daughter of James Honey Keedy and Marie Sproston, on 5 June 1943 at Indiana, Ralph gave his age as 21 and his birth year as 1921 for his Indiana marriage license. A month later he and Mayme married again, in Alabama, with correct age information. Ralph Herman Joers married Mayme Ruth Keedy, daughter of James Honey Keedy and Marie Sproston, on 17 July 1943 at Calhoun Co., AL, a second Alabama marriage index shows the same date but Bullock County. Ralph Herman Joers died on 11 May 1979 at Noblesville, Hamilton Co., IN, at age 55.

Dye, son of William Melvin Dye and Ruth Carman, on 15 April 1940 at Vinton Co., IA, Iowa Department of Public Health; Des Moines, Iowa; Series Title: Iowa Marriage Records, 1923–1937, via ancestry.com. Inger Marie Johansen lived in 1951 at Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., IA, Inger was listed in the 1951 Cedar Rapids city directory, but Floyd was not. Possibly the marriage had broken up.
She died on 20 September 1988 at age 70

Inger M. Dye, 70, of 1619 Richmond Rd. NE, died Tuesday evening in her home following a brief illness.

She was born Dec. 23, 1917 at Langesund, Norway and for over 25 years, worked for Rockwell-Collins until her retirement. She attended First Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Carla, and a son, Carl, both of Cedar Rapids.

Private services will be held Friday, by the Rev. Paul Stevens. Burial: Cedar Memoral Park Cemetery.

HANOVER Adolph Edward John, 94, husband of Caroline Moul (Fitz) John, died Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Home wood at Plum Creek. Born May 25, 1915, in Frankfurt, Germany, he was a son of the late Alfred and Sophie Boettcher John. In 1926, he and his family came to the United States where he graduated from Erasmus Hall in Brooklyn, N.Y., and attended City College in New York. Adolph became a New York City policeman in 1940, being a member of the famous class of 1939. While waiting for his appointment to the NYPD, he spent nine months traveling with Ringling Bros., Barnum & Bailey Circus as a member of their security. After retiring as a sergeant in 1965 following 25 years of service, he became a regional salesman for Mazda Appliances for 10 years and later formed the Cinderella Project, a company which reclaimed neighborhoods in Brooklyn, N.Y. For more than 65 years, he was a member of the Springfield Gardens Lodge #1057 F&AM in Springfield Gardens, N.Y., and was also a member of the Hanover Area Historical Society. Adolph followed his love of horticulture and gardening throughout his life. In addition to his wife, he is survived by several cousins. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Minerva Beck John, and a brother, Alfred Wolfgang John. No service is planned at this time. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 124 Broadway, Hanover, PA 17331. Charlotte Louise Johns Sutton, 77, of Bradenton, Florida, started her new journey in life on September 13, 2009. Born in Springfield, Ohio on August 15, 1932, she traveled to all parts of the world, until finally residing in Bradenton. A fiercely independent lady, who raised three children all by herself while working at her own tax practice for many years before health problems forced her to retire. She is survived by her son Dann, grandson, Zack, both of St. Augustine; her daughter Betsy and grandchildren, Jeffrey and Lauren. She was predeceased by children Bethany and Donn. One of her life passions was auto racing. She passed this love down to her son Dann and grandson Zack. Zack is in his second year of college pursuing a degree in automobile engineering. Her other passions included watching championship tennis, the US Open being her favorite. Her other grandson Jeffrey is soon to be a father while granddaughter Lauren has a passion for horses she got from both her Mom and Grandmother. Charlotte, always the practical person, wished for no formal ceremony. However, the family will contact friends and relatives for a celebration dinner to be held at a later date. The family wants to thank the extraordinary efforts of John Odom, her personal caregiver, who tirelessly cared for Charlotte 24 hours a day, seven days a week. She will also be missed by her other "daughter" of 33 years, Terri Allen. Arrangements are being taken care of by Covell Funeral Services. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in her name to Tidewell Hospice & Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Boulevard, Sarasota, Fl. 34238. "You are my sunshine...my only sunshine."
