GILMORE FUNERAL TO BE HELD HERE
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Gilmore, mother of Mrs. R. H. Martin of Lubbock who died last Friday night in Kansas City, will be held in this city Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. The body is expected to arrive here Tuesday.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Rix-Sanders Funeral chapel with the Rev. H. L. Munger, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Lubbock cemetery.
Accompanying the body here will be Mrs. Nora Brooks, of Kansas City, and C. E. Gilmore of Wichita, Kans., children of Mrs. Gilmore. Others who survive are four daughters, Mrs. J. T. Collom, Arlington, VA; Mrs. Lula Gregory, Stillwater, Okla; Mrs. E. E. Frost, Denver, Colo; Mrs. Julia Patterson, Tacoma, Wash; and three sons, Jacob E. Gilmore, Fort Cobb, Okla; William Bruce Gilmore, Washington, D.C; Guy Gilmore, Wagoner, Okla.

Funeral services will be held at the First Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon for Mrs. Mary E. Gilmore, mother of Mrs. R. H. Martin of this city, who died in Kansas City last Friday.
The Rev. H. L. Munger, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Rix-Sanders.
The body arrived this morning and will lie in state today at the Rix-Sanders Chapel.

     Mildred R. Hunt was born in January 1896 at Missouri. She was the daughter of Bruce Hunt and Alice A. Varner. Mildred R. Hunt died in 1934 at Jackson Co., MO.

She married Emmitt Richard Wilkin, son of Henry Richard Wilkin and Lola May Cadwallader, on 12 March 1934 at New Vienna, Highland Co., OH.      Ralph Wilson Hunt began military service Army Air Corps, WW II, Burma and India. He was born on 7 October 1918 at Elm Grove, Pike Co., OH. He married Lavina Irene Wilkin, daughter of Henry Richard Wilkin and Lola May Cadwallader, on 23 March 1945 at Newark, Licking Co., OH.

Robert I. Hunt, 72, one of Decatur's leading business men and former assistant treasurer in charge of the United States subtreasury in Chicago, died unexpectedly at 5:55 A.M. Saturday in the Decatur and Macon County Hospital.
Death was attributed to heart disease. Close friends of Mr. Hunt had known his heart was in a weakened condition but a physician had advised that avoidance of exertion would prolong his life.
Following a downtown trip Tuesday the former civic leader's condition became serious and he was taken to the hispital.
Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Monday in the Dawson & Wikoff Chapel. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery.
Rev. E. W. Clippinger, former pastor of the First Presbyterian here and at present pastor of the North Sangamon Church in Indiana Point will preach the sermon.
Three of the six pallbearers will be E. B. Evans, Ernest Rice and Max Funk. The others will be announced later.
Mr. Hunt's sons, Floyd P. Hunt of Highland Park and William O. Hunt of Chicago, already have come to Decatur for the funeral. A sister, Dr. Marie L. Hunt of Hinsdale, will not be able to attend it was said at the Hunt residence Saturday night.
Born in Baltimore, MD, Jan 19, 1864, Mr. Hunt was a son of Samuel Montgomery and Rebecca B. Hunt. His early life was passed in Baltimore and Chicago. He has lived in Decatur since 1892.
While still a very young man he became credit manager for the Edson-Keith wholesale Millinery House in Chicago. Later left that position to come to Decatur as treasurer of the Suffern-Hunt Grain Milling Company. He helped finance and build the old Suffern-Hunt Mill here, at that time then largest white corn mill in the world.
He soon became active in a number of business enterprises helping to organize and build the Polar Ice and Storage Company plant and later acquiring a substantial interest in the Morehouse and Wells Company. The later was disposed of some years ago.
Mr. Hunt acquired his interest in politics early in life, also. In 1884 he served as a page at the Democratic National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio in which Grover Cleveland was nominated for the presidency. Mr. Hunt remained a staunch Democrat throughout life and was a close friend of Senator James Hamilton Lewis.
In 1904 he served as city alderman here. That and four years as assistant U.S. Treasurer, were the only public offices he ever held. Though he frequently was urged to be a candidate for office.
In 1933 he was appointed by Governor Horner as a member of the State Housing Board and in compliment to him Horner declined to appoint someone else in Hunt's place when he resigned last year. In 1934 he was named by President Roosevelt as a member of the Federal Board of Mediation and Control, under the National Recovery Act.
He was among the chief figures in the promotion of Lake Decatur and in 1924 was elected president of the Decatur Water Supply Company. He remained actively interested in the water supply development until it was taken over by the city two years ago. For years he had been active in the Decatur Club, serving as its president in 1922 and was active in the County Club of Decatur, in Macon Lodge No 8, A.F. & AM., Macon Chapter No 21, R.A.M. and Beaumanoir Commandery, Knights Templar. He was baptized in the Baltimore Presbyterian Church. Observing his 30th anniversary in Decatur in 1922.
Mr. Hunt said: "Decatur was a city of 15,000 population when I came here and it has been my pleasure to watch it grow and to have had some part in assisting the growth. I have assisted in the building of three manufacturing establishments and the Morehouse & Wells building. I was a member of the board of directors of the Citizens National Bank and made the motion which resulted in the erection of the building in which the bank is now located. All of my business life has been in this community and I am proud of the community and its achievements."
Mr. Hunt leaves his widow, two sons, Floyd P. of Highland Park, William D. of Chicago, daughter Mrs. Honore M. Owen, Decatur and two grandchildren, Honore Martyn, Virginia A. Owen of Decatur and sister Dr. Marie L. Hunt of Hinsdale.

     Roy Broyles Hunt was born on 11 January 1891 at Lamar, Barton Co., MO. He was the son of Jacob Hunt and Emily Elizabeth Broyles. Roy Broyles Hunt began military service WW I, U.S. Army, 1st Battalion, 164th Depot Brigade, cook, honorably discharged. He married Verda Gale Weaver, daughter of James Weaver and Isadora Jones, on 16 July 1927 at Enid, Garfield Co., OK. Roy Broyles Hunt died on 8 April 1977 at Harlingen, Cameron Co., TX, at age 86. He was buried in April 1977 at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Harlingen, Cameron Co., TX.

     Sadie Aline Hunt was born on 17 February 1905 at Booneville, Warrick Co., IN.¹ She was the daughter of Jackson Isaac Hunt and Sarah A. Hudson.^2,3 Sadie Aline Hunt married Henry Winfield Enlow, son of Samuel Enlow and Emma J. Wendell, on 30 September 1920 at Warrick Co. (probably), IN.¹ Sadie Aline Hunt died on 15 April 1994 at Evansville, Vanderburgh Co., IN, at age 89. She was buried in April 1994 at Barnett Chapel Cemetery, Elberfeld, Warrick Co., IN, Findagrave #46247272.

     Sarah Hunt was born on 9 November 1789 at Washington Co., TN. She was the daughter of Rev. Uriah Hunt and Sarah Jane Kincheloe. Sarah Hunt married James Duncan, son of Joseph Duncan and Ann Shaw. Sarah Hunt died on 9 July 1858 at Sulpher Springs, Macoupin Co., IL, at age 68. She was buried in July 1858 at Girard Twp. Cemetery, Girard, Macoupin Co., IL.

     Terrie V. Hunt was born on 17 August 1902 at Indiana.¹ She married Edgar Dick.¹ Terrie V. Hunt died on 13 January 1961 at Riverview Hospital, Noblesville, Hamilton Co., IN, at age 58.      Terry M. Hunt was born on 22 February 1950. He was the son of Howard Hunt and Barbara Jean Lane. Terry M. Hunt died on 27 April 2018 at Clarksville, Clark Co., IN, at age 68

Uriah Hunt married Sarah Kincheloe about 1782 and lived most of their life in Sulphur Springs Community in Washington County, Tennessee. The cemetery where they are buried was the first community cemetery in use before the Sulphur Springs Cemetery. Many early families are buried there. The cemetery has been cleaned up and is in great shape today.

In June 1995 many Hunt descendants from all over the United States met at Jonesborough, Washington County, TN for a two day conference. The excess proceeds were designated to purchase a grave stone for Uriah, of "The 14". He and his wife are buried there on the land once owned by Uriah, who was the owner of a considerable amount of land. In 1995 their graves were marked only with field stones. Many of their descendants are buried near them, some graves marked with inscriptions and some not.

He died in 1824.

She was buried in November 1962 at Fairlawn Cemetery, Decatur, Macon Co., IL.

     Virginia Hunt was born in June 1857 at Mississippi.¹ She married Walter S. Mears on 5 June 1880 at Orleans Par., LA.

     Warner Franklin Hunt was born on 17 August 1887 at Fortville, Hancock Co., IN. He married Rosa Elizabeth Short.
