Mrs. Thomas K. Turner died Tuesday afternoon at the home of her son, Frank Turner and family, of Cleveland Township. Death was due to a complication of diseases and old age. At the time of her death she had reached the age of 78 years, 3 months and 27 days.

Caroline Houston was born in Greene County, Ohio on August 8, 1837 and was the daughter of Archibald Houston. In 1864 they moved from Ohio to Richland Township, Whitley County. She lived in Richland Township until the last few years until she moved to South Whitley and kept house for a time, later living with her son, Frank and his family.

She was united in marriage to Thomas K. Turner; five children survive. They are; W.T. of Idaho; D.H. of Oregon; Joseph of Columbia City; B.F. "Frank" of Cleveland Township and Mrs. Laura Henry of Richfield, Michigan. Fourteen years ago, Mr. Turner preceded her in death. Mrs. Turner had been a member of the Christian Church for many years, but recently
transferred her membership to the German Lutheran Church.

She was buried in December 1915 at South Whitley Cemetery, South Whitley, Whitley Co., IN, Findagrave #102442312.

Huston was also known as "Eliza".¹ She was born on 22 November 1855 at Washington Co., IN; per 1900 census, Indiana death certificate shows 1854.^2,3 She was the daughter of Benjamin Houston and Nancy Meadors.² Elizabeth A. Huston married John W. Payne, son of William Harvey Payne and Harriet Hartley, on 8 January 1874 at Washington Co., IN. Elizabeth A. Huston lived on 5 June 1900 at Franklin Twp., Washington Co., IN, age 44, widowed, mother of five children, four living, farming, with daughter Edith in school.³ She lived between 1910 and 1930 at Logansport, Cass Co., IN, 1910 census indicates four children still living.¹ She died on 4 January 1939 at Terre Haute, Vigo Co., IN, at age 83; Indiana death certificate, Reg. No. 3645. She was buried in January 1939 at Markle Cemetery, Markle, Huntington Co., IN, Findagrave #98584950.

     Elsie Mae Huston was born on 30 October 1897 at Washington Co., IN.¹ She married William H. Nelson on 29 June 1918 at Washington Co., IN.
