     Reuben Jeffery was born on 22 March 1857 at Belmont or Noble Co., OH.^1,2 He was the son of Joseph Jeffery and Sarah Ann Talbot.¹ Reuben Jeffery married Sarah Amanda Ferguson, daughter of Nancy (?), on 13 December 1878 at Quaker City, Guernsey Co., OH.³ Reuben Jeffery lived in 1880 at Millwood Twp., Guernsey Co., OH, in the home of his mother in-law Nancy Ferguson (spelled "Furgerson" in the census.)³ He lived in 1900 at Londonderry Twp., Guernsey Co., OH.²

     Alfred W. Jeffrey was born on 5 May 1881 at Noble Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Erastus Lincoln Jeffrey and Hannah Jane Sickles.¹ Alfred W. Jeffrey married Martha Dallas King, daughter of Thomas Ellsworth King and Raturia Elvira Fisher, in 1901. Alfred W. Funeral services for Alfred W. (Fred) Jeffrey, 86, 428 N. Fifth St., will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McCracken – Thorn Funeral Home here. The Rev. Marshall Harper will officiate and burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.
Mr. Jeffrey, a resident of Guernsey County most of his life, died at 4:50 p.m. at Contented Rest Home, where he had been residing for several months.
Born May 5, 1881, he was a son of Lincoln E. and Hanna Jane Sickles Jeffrey. He was married to the former Martha D. King, who died May 20, 1959.
Mr. Jeffrey leaves three daughters, Mrs. Marion (Eithel sic) Leeper and Mrs. Ruth Walker, both of Cambridge, and Mrs. Edward (Lucille) Schare, North Lawrence; one brother, John of Millersburg; 18 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
A retired steelworker and carpenter, he was a member of Second Baptist Church.

     Ethel Winnifred Jeffrey was born on 25 April 1915 at Cambridge, Guernsey Co., OH. She was the daughter of Alfred W. Jeffrey and Martha Dallas King. Ethel Winnifred Jeffrey married Marion D. Leeper, son of Robert James Leeper and Martha Estelle Touvelle, on 15 October 1941. Ethel Winnifred Jeffrey died on 1 August 1991 at Cambridge, Guernsey Co., OH, at age 76

Ethel W. Leeper, 77, of 428 N. Fifth St., died at 10:55 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 1, 1991) at Guernsey Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 25, 1914, in Cambridge, daughter of the late Alfred W. and Martha King Jeffrey. She worked as an aide in area nursing homes and with her husband at Buckeye Cleaners for 14 years. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Golden Sixties and Guernsey Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Mrs. Leeper leaves her husband, Marion D. Leeper, whom she married Oct. 15, 1941; one daughter, Patricia Ann Wilson of Boca Raton, Fla; two sisters, Ritta Lucile Schare and Naomi Ruth Walker, both of Cambridge; three grandchildren, Steven Ryan, Theresa Douglas and Jennifer Wilson, all of Boca Raton; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Thorn Funeral Home.

Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Guernsey Memory Gardens with Pastor Stephen Spurgin officiating.

Ritta Lucille Jeffrey married George Arthur Leeper, son of Robert James Leeper and Martha Estelle Touvelle, circa 1935. Ritta Lucille Jeffrey lived on 3 May 1940 at 501 Water Street, Cambridge, Guernsey Co., OH, with her parents.¹ She married Edward Schaer. Ritta Lucille Jeffrey died on 5 January 2009 at Conway, Faulkner Co., AR, at age 92. She was buried in January 2009 at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, Guernsey Co., OH, Findagrave #182842422.
