Jesse will be missed by his loving wife of 49 years, Judy; son, Jeremy (Sherrie) Johnson; grandchildren, Matthew Young and Ruby Johnson; siblings, Ethel Mae Gilliam, Betty Jean Gilliam, James Herbert (Gail) Johnson and Lyndon (Sheree) Johnson; and close friend and cousin Dave (Patsy) Sturey.
Jesse was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He always worked to provide for his family. He had been a member of the Faith Hill Church of God for many years where he and Judy were saved on March 27, 1973, baptized on April 8, 1973 and married on May 13, 1973. Jesse loved going to church and playing music. He retired from the City of Fairborn Water Department after 30 years. He enjoyed building and working on things, playing jokes on people and playing cards.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 16, 2021 from 5-8 p.m. at Faith Hill Church of God, 35 Vanderbilt Dr., Fairborn, OH where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial Byron Cemetery.
