Coons, 95, of Lincoln, formerly of Springfield, died Wednesday at St. Clara's Manor, Lincoln.

She was born April 21, 1901, in Riverton, the daughter of Arthur A. and Margaret Wanless Jones. She married Frank LeRoy Coons in 1928; he died in 1986. She was teacher in Riverton schools and a member of First United Methodist Church of Lincoln; 76-year member and past worthy matron of Venus Chapter 408, OES, in Riverton; a member of Abeba Chapter Daughters of the Nile since 1945; a member of Abraham White Shrine of Jerusalem, Jeptha Chapter, since 1938 and Lincoln Chapter since 1955; and an honorary member of Lincoln Chapter 351, OES. Survivors: several cousins including Betty Squires of Springfield.
