ROBERT L. "BOB" KRIDER, 72, passed away at home on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, and joined his Heavenly Father. Born in Fort Wayne, he worked as a painter with Navistar for 30 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of American Legion Post 47 and Faith Baptist Church, and past president of the Maplewood Park Association. He enjoyed his retirement as a vendor at Shipshewana for many years. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lillian (Osborn) Krider of Fort Wayne; daughter, Teresa (David) Hess of Avilla; grandsons, Justin (Lindsay) Purdy and Jason (Alicia) Purdy, both of Fort Wayne, and John Purdy of Carbondale, Ill.
