Gertrude Larimore1

F, b. 1910
Gertrude Larimore was born in 1910 at Moberly, Randolph Co., MO.1 She was the daughter of Ira Delbert Larimore and Rosetta A. Albers.1
Note: There were two Everett Rogers' of about the same age who each married a Gertrude M. born in Missouri of about the same age.

Gertrude Marietta Branstetter was born 1910 in Missouri, according to the SSDI and consistent with the 1920 census of Washington County, AR. She married Everett Lucille Rogers, b.4 OCT 1913, on 19 MAR 1932 at Madison County, AR. They relocated to Brea, Orange County, California and had two children by April 1940 when the census was taken.

Gertrude M. Larimore, giving her age as 22 (appears corrected from 21) and residing in Kansas City, KS married Everett L. Rogers, giving his age as 23, on 6 MAY 1930 at Jackson County, MO. Although she was listed as age 10 on the January 1920 federal census, she was not yet born in April, 1910 when that census was taken, so she must have been born in 1910 shortly after the census. She is listed as age 18 on the 1930 census, a servant in the household of Leland and Frances Lovejoy, although a closer look at the census suggests very strongly that she was not present to answer the questions -- her birth location, and those of her parents, are all written "United States". Her father had died during the 1920s and her mother was left to raise the three children alone. The lack of a SS Application or Claim or death record for Gertrude (Larimore) Rogers suggests that she did not survive long after her 1930 marriage. Cannot further identify the Everett L. Rogers who she married in 1930. DLB 2020.
