     John Lane Kirkpatrick Jr. was born on 27 May 1841 at Morgan Co., IL. He was the son of John Lane Kirkpatrick and Catherine Sims. John Lane Kirkpatrick Jr. married Mary Frances Munson, daughter of Eliphalet Philbrook Munson and Catherine Sanders, on 15 September 1867 at McDonough Co., IL. This man was the seventh of eleven children and he lived on the paternal farm until his father's death. He was born 27 May 1841 in Morgan County, Illinois, and died 5 October 1909, Macomb, Illinois. He is buried in Camp Creek Cemetery, McDonough County, Illinois. On reaching manhood, he bought 160 acres of the homestead and commenced general farming, stock-raising and feeding. This farm was in McDonough County, Illinois.
Mr. Kirkpatrick was married 15 September 1867 in McDonough County, Illinois, to Mary Frances Munson. She was born 26 January 1846 in Rushville, Schuyler
County, Illinois, and died 24 April 1910 in Macomb, Illinois. She is also buried in
Camp Creek Cemetery in McDonough County. Her parents were Eliphelet Philbrook
and Catherine (Sanders) Munson. Eliphelet was born 11 Jun 1817 in Colchester
Vermont. Catherine, his wife was born 22 January in 1821 in Maryland.
John Lane Kirkpatrick's mother, Catherine Matilda (Sims) Kirkpatrick, lived with him on his farm until her death on 8 January 1877. Kirkpatrick improved the farm,
enlarging it to 360 acres, including 120 acres of timber and pasture land in Bethel
and Industry Townships. On 2 Jun 1860, John Lane Kirkpatrick met with a very
serious accident. He had gone hunting with friends and they had all stopped to rest.
He momentarily leaned on the barrel of the shot gun and it accidentally discharged.
The gun blast necessitated the amputation of his left arm about four inches above his
elbow. He continued to farm after the amputation. He was a Republican in politics
and a Presbyterian in religion.
There were three children born of the marriage.
On the 1880 Census of Industry, McDonough Co., Illinois John appears with his wife, Mary, children Catherine, George and James. His nephews Pary [Perry] and
Benjamin and niece Hariet M. are also in the household.

I am unsure if it still exists in this form. George was the son of John Lane, Jr, who lost an arm in a hunting accident in 1861, just before the surrender of Fort Sumter, and as a result, never served in the Union Army, though his brother and cousins did do so."
OBITUARY

John L. Kirkpatrick, one of McDonough county's most respected citizens, died suddenly at his home in Macomb Tuesday morning at 10:40 o'clock, aged 67 years, 4 months and 8 days. Funeral services will be held at Ebenezer church today at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Thompson of Macomb. Interment in the Camp Creek cemetery.
Mr. Kirkpatrick was for many years engaged in farming six miles northwest of Industry. About a year ago he sold his farm to his son, George, and moved to Macomb.
His death was sudden and unexpected, and is a severe shock to his wife, who has been delicate health for several years. He was taken sick with what was diagnosed as a case of indigestion. While quite sick he was able to be around and Monday afternoon went up town. In the evening, when he returned home, he did not feel so well and at about 7 o'clock a physician was summoned, who pronounced the ailment indigestion. Tuesday morning he was up and around the house a little, but was not feeling very well. About 10:30 he was sitting in a chair and his sister-in-law, Mrs. William Munson of Tina, Mo., who is visiting with him, gave him his medicine. His wife had a short time previous, while he was walking around the room advised him to lie down but he only laughed and said he felt all right. Mrs. Munson gave him his medicine and then steped out of the room. He was sitting in the chair and she noticed nothing pecular about him, but he said nothing to her. She started up stairs when Mrs Kirkpatrick called to her that she heard her husband make a pecular noise. She hurried to him and while he was sitting in his chair, his head had dropped and an examin- [some text missing here] physician was summoned and he arrived in a very few moments but life was extinct. It is supposed that indigestion was complicated with heart trouble, this being hereditary in the family, caused his death.
Deceased was born in Morgan county, near Concord, where he grew to manhood. He moved to this county in 1864 and on Sept. 15, 1867, was united in marriage with Miss Mary Munson, who survives him.
Most of his life was spent in farming. When a young man he met with an accident while hunting which resulted in the loss of one arm, near the elbow, but with this handicap he pushed ahead the harder and made a success of his work. He devoted his time to farming and stock raising and by careful attention to his business prospered. He was an earnest, christian man, square in his dealings with his fellow man.
He leaves besides his wife, two sons - George of Industry township and James G. of Bethel township. He leaves also one sister, Mrs. Charles Munson of Macomb.


He was buried in October 1909 at Camp Creek Cemetery, Industry Twp., McDonough Co., IL.

Services Held Wednesday For John W. Kirkpatrick
John W. Kirkpatrick, 67, of 415 W. Washington St., Macomb, died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12 in the District Hospital at Macomb, where he had been admitted as a patient at 11:00 a.m. that day after suffering a heart attack.
Funeral services in charge of Clugston Funeral Home, were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in Macomb Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard M. Newhall officiating and burial was in Camp Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Kirkpatrick was born March 12, 1899, in Bethel Township, son of George and Anna Mourning Kirkpatrick. He moved from Bethel Township to Tennessee Township at the age of two years and at the age of eight years he moved to Industry Township. Later he farmed in Scotland Township and came into Macomb in 1926. He attended Heading College at Abingdon and Brown Business College in Galesburg. He served one term as deputy Circuit Clerk in McDonough County and in 1962 retired after 30 years of service as a city mail carrier.
He was a member of the Macomb Methodist Church and the National Letter Carriers Association.
On Jan. 26, 1923, he was married to Ruth Wilson, who survives with three daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Eleanor) Dennis of Quincy, Mrs. Richard (Marilyn) Stone of Anaheim, Calif., and Mrs. William (Luan) Adams of Molien. Six grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Kirkpatrick of Kenosha, Wis; and three sisters, Miss Ruby Kirkpatrick of Pasadena, Calif, Mrs. Nell Pollock of Macomb and Mrs. Mary McAlister of San Gabriel, Calif., also survive.
A sister, Mrs. Blanche Pennington, is deceased.

He was buried in February 1967 at Camp Creek Cemetery, Macomb, McDonough Co., IL.

     Madison S. Kirkpatrick was also known as Madison Kirk. He was born on 15 June 1834 at Fayette Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Thomas Kirkpatrick and Elizabeth Parrett. Madison S. Kirkpatrick married Agnes L. Collier on 31 March 1863 at Ohio; four children born, three living as of the 1900 census.³

Madison S. Kirkpatrick died on 10 August 1934 at Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., KS, at age 100.

     Margaret Kirkpatrick married Emery Hurst.

     Mary Isabelle Kirkpatrick was born circa 1845 at Ohio.^2,1 She married Charles B. Martin on 25 October 1866 at Putnam Co., IN. Mary Isabelle Kirkpatrick died after May 1895 "Belle" was listed on the 1895 Kansas state census of York Twp., Stafford County.

     Mary Matilda Kirkpatrick was born on 17 November 1875 at McDonough Co., IL. She was the daughter of James S. Kirkpatrick and Lydia A. Pigg. Mary Matilda Kirkpatrick married John H. Coakley, son of George W. Coakley and Harriet Louise Henderson, on 29 July 1894 at Ipava, Fulton Co., IL. Mary Matilda Kirkpatrick died on 23 April 1958 at Fulton Co., IL, at age 82.

     Nancy May Kirkpatrick was born on 18 April 1901 at Tennessee Twp., McDonough Co., IL. She was the daughter of George Melvin Kirkpatrick and Anna Maude Mourning. Nancy May Kirkpatrick married Roland Watson McAlister, son of John McAlister and Jeanette Watson, on 25 January 1922 at Berwyn, Cook Co., IL. Nancy May Kirkpatrick died on 10 November 1992 at San Gabriel, Los Angeles Co., CA, at age 91. She was buried in November 1992 at Rose Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary, Whittier, Los Angeles Co., CA.

     Nellie Frances Kirkpatrick was born on 27 December 1897 at Los Angeles Co., CA. She was the daughter of George Melvin Kirkpatrick and Anna Maude Mourning. Nellie Frances Kirkpatrick married Charles Wilson Pollock, son of Robert Andrew Pollock and Clara Bell Smiley, on 12 March 1919 at Macomb, McDonough Co., IL. Nellie Frances Kirkpatrick died in October 1989 at age 91. She was buried in 1989 at Good Hope Cemetery, Macomb, McDonough Co., IL.

     Ralph Wayne Kirkpatrick was born on 11 November 1910 at Industry Twp., McDonough Co., IL. He was the son of George Melvin Kirkpatrick and Anna Maude Mourning. Ralph Wayne Kirkpatrick married Nancy Grace Woll, daughter of Lewis H. Woll and Amanda Meline, on 9 May 1942 at Michigan City, La Porte Co., IN. Former Macomb Resident Dies
Funeral services for Ralph W. Kirkpatrick, 64, of Kenosha, Wis., formerly of Macomb, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Clugston Chapel in Macomb. The Rev. Kenneth A. Mortonson will officiate and burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel and friends may call from 7:30 p.m. Saturday until the time of services.
Mr. Kirkpatrick died Wednesday night at this home.
Mr. Kirkpatrick was born on Nov. 11, 1910, in McDonough County, a son of George and Anne Mourning Kirkpatrick. He married Nellie Woll on May 9, 1942. She survives. He had resided in Macomb until his graduation from Western Illinois University at which time he moved to Kenosha, where he has resided since. He was employed as a metallurigical engineer for Anaconda American Brass Co. He was active in Scouting for several years and was awarded the Silver Beaver award.
In addition to his widow, Mr. Kirkpatrick is survived by one son, Ronald K. of Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico; and three sisters, Mrs. Charles (Nellie) Pollock of Macomb, Mrs. Roland (Nancy) McAlister of San Gabriel, Calif., and Miss Ruby Kirkpatrick of Seal Beach, Calif. One sister, Blanche Pennington, and one brother, John, preceded him in death.

He was buried in November 1974 at Oakwood Cemetery, Macomb, McDonough Co., IL.

     Randell Richard Kirkpatrick was born on 21 February 1958 at Des Moines, Polk Co., IA. He was the son of Wilburn Glen Kirkpatrick. Randell Richard Kirkpatrick died on 29 November 2001 at age 43.      Raymond Adeal Kirkpatrick was born on 25 December 1908 at Table Grove, Fulton Co., IL. He was the son of Frank Kirkpatrick and Grace Louella Neff. Raymond Adeal Kirkpatrick married Alice S. Mosher, daughter of Alfred Mosher and Alice Kimberly, on 2 September 1933. Raymond Adeal Kirkpatrick died on 15 July 1965 at Columbia, Richland Co., SC, at age 56.

     Rosemary Bertha Kirkpatrick was born on 11 September 1942 at Nevada, Vernon Co., MO. She was the daughter of Dale Melvin Kirkpatrick and Parma Dixon Leinbach. Rosemary Bertha Kirkpatrick died on 3 April 2004 at Clovis, Fresno Co., CA, at age 61 From her brother, David Melvin Kirkpatrick.
Rosemary was born in Nevada MO to Dale Melvin Kirkpatrick and Parma Dixon Leinbach. She attended grammar and high school in Nevada MO., graduating from High school in 1960. She attended the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri at Columbia, graduating in 1966, with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She relocated to The Fresno area upon graduating and was in practice there for many years in both large and small animal practice. She was diagnosed with Diabetes at age nine and struggled with it her entire life. She was a member of Clovis Christian Church . She is survived by her brother David and his wife Barbara, one niece and two nephews, three grand nephews and one grandniece, all living in the Tacoma, WA area.
Died at St. Agnes Hospital, Clovis, Fresno County, California.
Rosemary's mother Parna Dixon Leinbach, was the daughter of Chester Arthur Leinbach and Rosemary McKennon, who's father was Capt. (Confederate) Archibald Smith McKennon.

Ruby Merle Kirkpatrick was born 29 February 1896 in McDonough County, Illinois and died on 9 February 1993 at Pasadena, Los Angeles County, California. Ruby never married. Ruby attended Normal Teachers College at Macomb, Illinois but graduated from Heading College located in Abingdon, Knox County, Illinois. Ruby worked for the Internal Revenue Service in California for many years.

Ruby Merle Kirkpatrick was born on 29 February 1896 at McDonough Co., IL. She was the daughter of George Melvin Kirkpatrick and Anna Maude Mourning. Ruby Merle Kirkpatrick died on 9 February 1993 at Los Angeles Co., CA, at age 96.

Funeral services for Russell E. Kirkpatrick, 67, of RR 2, Macomb, who died at 9:16 p.m. Tuesday at McDonough District Hospital will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Shawgo Memorial Home, Ipava with the Rev. Peter Funch officiating. Burial will be in the Ipava Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home this afternoon and evening.
He was born May 5, 1910, at Table Grove, the son of Frank and Grace Neff Kirkpatrick. He married Kathryn Lee, May 1, 1941, at Bowling Green, Mo. She survives him.
Also surviving are three sons, Frank of Macomb, William and Ken of Bushnell; four daughters, Mrs. Judy Bishop of Bloomington, Mrs. Becky Stambaugh of St. Augustine, Mrs. Kay Weaver of Adair and Mrs. Mary DeWeese of Bushnell; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Burdette of Champaign and Clair of Van Buren, Ark., and a sister Mrs. Irene Barclay of Ipava.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and two brothers.
He was a farmer and a member of the Bardolph Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

     Ruth Kirkpatrick was born on 23 April 1916 at Mt. Vernon, Linn Co., IA. She was the daughter of Ray Oliver Kirkpatrick and Coral Stockton. Ruth Kirkpatrick married Maurice Leroy Gamble, son of Edward William Leroy Gamble and Barbara Elizabeth Svoboda, on 7 December 1937 at Mt. Vernon, Linn Co., IA. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Daubs and husband Larry of Center Point and Helen Miner and husband Gerald of Yates City, Ill; a son, David Gamble and wife Sharon of Jenison, Mich; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maxine Sievers [b: 27 Jul 1923 Linn County, IA] of Cedar Rapids and Verna Schulz [b: 16 Sep 1921 Linn County, IA] and husband John of Mercer, Wis; and a brother, Dean Kirkpatrick and wife Dody of Mechanicsville. She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Opal Luerkens; and a brother, Arlo Kirkpatrick [b: 04 Dec 1917 Linn County, IA].

     Thomas Kirkpatrick was also known as Thomas Kirk.¹ He was born on 5 December 1813 at Fayette Co., OH. He was the son of James Kirkpatrick and Nancy Smith.² Thomas Kirkpatrick married Elizabeth Parrett, daughter of John Parrett and Catherine Windle, on 6 June 1833 at Fayette Co., OH.      Willis E. Kirkpatrick was born in 1877. He married Clara A. Cost, daughter of John W. Cost and Amanda J. Stapleton, on 18 October 1904 at Cass Co., IN, Although the 1910 census shows 1 child born to the marriage and still living, there was no child listed, and none appears in the 1920 census. Willis E. Kirkpatrick died in 1943. He was buried in 1943 at Beech Grove Cemetery, Sharon, Carroll Co., IN.

     Zelda Bell Kirkpatrick was born on 21 October 1893 at Decatur Co., IA. She married John Lloyd Jenkins. Zelda Bell Kirkpatrick died on 27 June 1979 at Denver, Denver Co., CO, at age 85. She was buried in 1979 at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Tilden, Madison Co., NE, Findagrave #47356210.

     John Madison Kirksey was born on 7 August 1918 at Lorenzo, Crosby Co., TX. He married Vivian Ruth Green on 1 July 1939 at Lynn Co., TX. John Madison Kirksey began military service on 30 July 1942 at Lubbock, Lubbock Co., TX, WW II service, U.S. Army, enlisted, discharged 28 SEP 1945. He died on 28 March 1993 at Lubbock Co., TX, at age 74.

     Jennie Kirkwood married Lee Holloway.

     George Kirr Jr. was born on 22 October 1911 at Austria.¹ He was the son of George Kirr Sr. and Rose Gross. George Kirr Jr. married Thelma Celestine Bline, daughter of George E. Bline and Helen Agnes Hagney, on 7 July 1934 at Detroit, Wayne Co., MI. George Kirr Jr. died on 24 June 1985 at Westland, Wayne Co., MI, at age 73.

     George Kirr Sr. was born in 1885. He married Rose Gross. George Kirr Sr. died in 1947. He was buried in 1947 at White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery, Troy, Oakland Co., MI, Findagrave #142338797.

     Georgine Catherine Kirr was born on 14 January 1946 at Detroit, Wayne Co., MI. She was the daughter of George Kirr Jr. and Thelma Celestine Bline. Georgine Catherine Kirr died on 14 February 1997 at age 51.

     Note: One child, name unknown. Occupation: Rechtsanwalt in Berlin. Heinrich Kirschfeldt married Emmy Hetwig Munzinger, daughter of Ernst August Munzinger and Friederika Karolina Welcker, on 23 April 1908 at Riga, Latvia.

     Catharina Sofia Kirschhock was born in 1845 at Oberbexbach, Palatinate. She married Jakob Buhles, son of Johann Daniel Buhles and Anna Margaretha Freivogel, in 1864 at Oberbexbach, Palatinate. Catharina Sofia Kirschhock died in 1867 at Oberbexbach, Palatinate.
