Conrad Meyer married Elizabeth Mary Brenneisen, daughter of Johann Jacob Brenneisen and Anna Maria Bühler, on 17 October 1873. Conrad Meyer lived on 20 April 1910 at 606 Clinton Street, Charles City, Floyd Co., IA.1 He died on 14 January 1929 at Bassett, Chickasaw Co., IA, at age 80.

     Delmer Laverne Meyer began military service WW II and Korean Police Action service: awarded China Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal.

He was born on 21 March 1924 at Bassett, Chickasaw Co., IA.1 He was the son of William August Meyer and Mary Effie Tollie.1 Delmer Laverne Meyer died on 2 August 1989 at Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa Co., AL, at age 65 Obituary from the Tuscaloosa News on Thursday, August 3, 1989 (from findagrave.com):

Funeral services for Delmer L. Meyer, 65, who died Wednesday at DCH Regional Medical Center, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. The Rev. C. C. Randall and the Rev. Carol Hatchel will officiate with burial in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with full military rites grave side.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel Meyer, Tuscaloosa; a daughter, Denise Crawford, Northport; a son, Bill Meyer, Tampa, Fla; three sisters: Blanche Bortz, Rudd, Iowa; Refa Essman, Weslaco, Texas; and Edna Jacobson, Canon City, Colo; five grandchildren; and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Richard Griffin, Truman Bailey, Billy Barton, Wilbur Ernst, Paul Wyatt, Pete Cicero, Robert Lancaster, Philip Alexander, John Meyers and Frank Wyatt.
He was a retired Navy veteran of 20 years, serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was awarded the China Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He was also retired from the Veterans Administration Medical Center and was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Pastor's Chapel Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the Building Fund of First Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.

He was buried in August 1989 at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park, Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa Co., AL.

     Dorothea A. Meyer was born on 18 April 1850 at Hannover, Germany.1,2 She was the daughter of Heinrich Meyer and Anna Dorothea Ritz. Dorothea A. Meyer married Edward Brenneisen, son of Johann Jacob Brenneisen and Anna Maria Bühler, on 17 October 1873 at Benton Co., IA, seven children born to the marriage, five living as of 1900 census.2 Dorothea A. Meyer lived in 1915 at Riceville, Mitchell Co., IA.1 She died on 9 February 1923 at Iowa City, Johnson Co., IA, at age 72. She was buried in February 1923 at St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery, Riceville, Mitchell Co., IA.

E. Katherine Meyer1

     E. Katherine Meyer was also known as Katherine Brenneisen.
Note: In the 1870 census, Katherine appears in the Henry and Dora (Ritz) Meyer family, Monroe Twp., Benton County, Iowa, at the bottom of the list of children. Dora Meyer was then 49 years of age, and there was a gap of 5 years to the next youngest, child, Charles Meyer, age 6. Dorothea, listed as "Doras", was then age 20. The family apparently relocated from Illinois to Iowa in the year following the birth of Katherine.

In the 1880 census, Katherine, age 11, was listed as a daughter of Edward and Dorothea (Meyer) Brenneisen -- the parental birth locations matched for all the children of Edward Brenneisen.

The Henry and Dora Meyer family are not found in the 1880 census -- a Dora Meyer, mother of Sophia (Meyer) Helm, in Whiteside County, Illinois could be the same person as the wife of Henry Meyer -- the age is within one year of a match, and the birthplace is listed as "Hannover" in both cases. That Sophia Meyer is listed in the 1870 census as a servant in the Frederick Konger/Kanger household in Clayton County, Iowa.

Given the date of the marriage of Edward and Dorothea Meyer, over four years after the birth of Katherine, there are several possibilities, regarding Katherine's biological parents. If she was actually a full sister to Dorothea (b.1850) there seems no reason why she needed to be presented to the census enumerator as a daughter of Edward and Dorothea in 1880. Her mother probably was Dorothea Meyer (b.1850), but her father was not likely Edward Brenneisen, given the 1869 geography and the years later marriage date. DLB 2012.

She was born in March 1869 at Illinois.1 She was the daughter of Dorothea A. Meyer. E. Katherine Meyer married Frank Young circa 1893.2 E. Katherine Meyer lived on 18 April 1910 at Pipestone, Pipestone Co., MN; census p.4A. She died on 2 January 1913 at Iowa at age 43. She was buried in January 1913 at Riverside Cemetery, Riceville, Jenkins Twp., Mitchell Co., IA.
