Mrs. Linnet E. Aitchison of Palo and Lee Kitzmiller of Shellsburg were married Saturday at the home of Miss Margaret Watkins by the Rev. L. W. Inman, pastor of the Baptist church. Only a few close friends of the couple attended the wedding. Mrs. Kitzmiller for many years conducted a store at Palo and the couple will make their home in Shellsburg where Mr. Kitzmiller has resided for a number of years. he was formerly in business in Chicago. A very enjoyable party was given last week by the Misses Katherine and Rosa Wurst at their home, 68 Leech street. Dancing was the order of the evening, and was kept up until a late hour. Refreshments were served. The program consisted of vocal music by Miss Katherine Wurst and Miss Jennie Eabel, and banjo and guitar selections were contributed by Misses Wurst and Weber. A :pink" surprise party was tendered to Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Ipps at their home on Sixth street last week. The reception committee consisted of Miss Katie Wurst, Miss Jennie Geobl, Linnet Ashworth, Edith Pullmann and Hilda Lucas. All wore pink costumes, and the decorations of the house were of pink flowers. Refreshments were served at 12 o'clock to about thirty-five guests, and dancing was continued until a late hour.
