     Velma Lascher was born on 6 January 1901 at Erie Co., PA.¹ She married Elmer L. Van Osdale, A Cuyahoga County marriage license record shows Velma "Lacher", age 17, was given consent by her father Wendell Lacher to marry L. J. Carl Wriiker on 29 MAR 1917, and that the marriage was performed by R.R. Hawkins, J.P. on 29 MAR 1917. L. J. listed a Charles Wikert as his next of kin on his JUN 1918 WW I draft registration, and was living with his sister and brother in-law George Farrar in January, 1920 when the census was taken, marital status "S". Velma was living with her mother and brother Harold in January, 1920, using her maiden name and listed with marital status "S". The 1917 marriage apparently ended very quickly. DLB 2020.

     Addie M. Lashawa was born on 27 April 1861 at Missouri.¹ She married Rev. Services were Monday, April 6, 2009, at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Senecaville, for Cindy S. (Lashley) Gerrity, 50, of Buffalo, who passed away Thursday (April 2, 2009) at her home among the loving care of her family and friends, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Oct, 24, 1958, in Cambridge, daughter of Sharon (Butler) Lashley of Buffalo and the late George Lashley.

Mrs. Gerrity spent her life taking care of others and also as a registered nurse at the former Cambridge State Hospital for 11 years. She enjoyed family gatherings, going to Wheeling, shopping and gardening.

Cindy has survived the loss of her first husband, Kenny Hall; her sister, Mindy Lashley, her father, George Lashley; and her father-in-law Jake Warehime.

She leaves behind her husband, Jim Gerrity, whom she married May 27, 2006; her mother, Sharon Lashley; two daughters, Dawn (Steve) Linch of Cambridge and Hope (Eric) Snead of Dayton; two sons, Jason (Carrie) Hall of Senecaville and Andy (Ashley) Hall of Ava; a brother, Phillip Lashley of Pleasant City; two sisters, Maria (Larry) Wilson and Shi Lonca, both of Byesville; eight grandchildren, whom she loved to "spoil and send home," Brendan, Faith, Elijah, McKenzie, Clayton, Bradison, Jessup and Drew; and a special group of girlfriends.

After Mindys death, Billy remarried to a Betty Ann and lived at West Blocton, AL.

SENECAVILLE – Mrs. Mindy L. Stone, 26, of Byesville was killed Sunday morning, Oct. 13, in an auto accident in Guernsey County.

Mrs. Stone was a therapeutic program worker at the Cambridge Mental Health and Development Center.

She was born Oct. 24, 1958, in Buffalo, Ohio, a daughter of George and Sharon Butler Lashley of Buffalo.

In addition to her parents surviving are her husband, Billy Stone; a daughter, Hope of the home; three sisters, Shilila Lashley and Mrs. Marie Wilson both of Byesville and Mrs. Kenneth (Cindy) Hall of Buffalo; a brother, Philip Lashley of Byesville and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Wilbur (Effie) Lashley.

Philip Allen Lashley, 62, of Pleasant City passed away Sunday (August 4, 2019) at his home peacefully surrounded by family following his courageous battle with cancer.

He was born July 28, 1957 in Cambridge and was the son of the late George M. and Sharon M. (Butler) Lashley.

Philip was a lifelong resident of Guernsey County, a 1975 graduate of Meadowbrook High School and Guernsey Noble Vocational School where he studied auto mechanics. He retired from Shelly and Sands as a heavy equipment operator/mechanic. He previously worked in all aspects of the oil fields and had been an accomplished mechanic for many years. He was a member of Ohio Operators and Engineers local #18, and Buffalo VFW #8040.

Philip was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, trapping, and especially fishing. He enjoyed spending time at Seneca Lake, whether it was drives or on the lake. He was a very loving and caring father, grandfather, brother, and a friend to many. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone he could. He most enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mindy Stone and Cindy Gerrity.

He is survived by two daughters, Heather (Aaron McKinley) Lashley of Ashland and Stephanie (Joe) Womack of Byesville; long time companion, Debbie Carey of Pleasant City; two grandchildren, Parker Conner and Paige Lashley; two sisters, Shelila (Tom) Knox and Maria (Larry) Wilson both of Byesville; several special nieces and nephews, especially Hope(Eric) Snead of Dayton, along with the mother of his children Celeste Lashley of Byesville.

A time of remembrance and gathering for Philip will be held Sunday (August 11, 2019) at Buffalo VFW from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. for family and friends. Burial will be at a later date in Buffalo cemetery.
