     Rachel June Laybourne was born on 7 August 1686 at Ramestown, County Carlow, Ireland. She was the daughter of Joseph Laybourne and Rachel Marchant. Rachel June Laybourne married James Starr, son of John Starr and Mary Thompson, on 22 August 1705 at Ardnahue, County Carlow, Ireland.

In the name of God, Amen, whereas I Rachel Starr of Charles Township, Chester Co. and Province of Pennsylvania (Widow) Being weak of body, but of sound and perfect memory, do this seventh day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred sixty two make and publish this my last will and testament, thereby utterly dis-annulling and revokeing all other or former wills by me made whatsoever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my son Joseph Starr my large Bible and one quarter of all my other books.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my son______ one quarter of all my books as aforesaid.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my sons James Starr and Moses Starr the other half of my books to be equally divided between them.

Item: I order that all my wearing apparel of every kind be equally divided between my four daughter-in-laws.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter-in-law Rebecca Starr six silver teaspoons and my silver tea tongs and my blue and white silk handerchief.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter-in-law Hanna Starr, my small tea kettle and my large tea pot, six tea spoons and my silver bodkin.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my son-in-law Richard Richardson the sum of five shillings.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Rachel the sum of five shillings.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my grand-daughter, Rebecca Starr daughter of my son Joseph my warming pan.

I order that all my other goods be sold and the money_______ together with all the other money I am________of to be equally divided between my grandchildren namely, Joseph Starr son of James Starr. Samuel Starr, Issac Starr, Rebecca Starr, Mary Starr, and Rachel Starr, children of my son Joseph. John Starr, James Starr, Thomas Starr, and Mary Starr, children of my son John. Sarah Starr, Rachel Starr,and Hannah Starr, children of my son James, and the children of my son Moses by his last wife. Elizabeth Williams, James Williams and Rachel Williams children of my daughter Rachel.

I order that my daughter Rachel's children before mentioned shares be left in the hands of my executors to be paid them when they come of age with lawfull interest for the same to commence from two years after my decease.

I order that the shares belonging to my grandchildren, the children of my sons Joseph Starr, John Starr, and James Starr be paid to their respective fathers in two years as aforesaid for the use of the children before mentions and that the shares belonging to my son Moses's children be paid him in two years as aforesaid for the use of his children aforesaid if called for without interest but if the said Moses Starr should not call for or recover the said shares hereby bequeathed to his children in the space of two years as before mentioned, that then I do order that the money shall be left in the hands of my executors until such time as it shall be legally demanded without interest, and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my loving sons Joseph Starr, and James Starr, my sole excecutors to see that this my last will and testament be performed in all respects according to the true intent and meaning thereof in witness whereof I do here my set my hand and seal the date first above written.

     Anna Layden was born on 3 June 1872. She married Frederick Joseph Eaton.¹ Anna Layden died in January 1968 at New York at age 95. She was buried in 1968 at Saint Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany, Cattaraugus Co., NY, Findagrave #50126695.

     Anna M. Layer was born in May 1885 at Kentucky. She was the daughter of Frederick Layer and Mary (?) Anna M. Layer married Odus Marion Robertson, son of Crawford M. Robertson and Martha Ellen Wright, on 23 November 1911 at Clark Co., IN. Anna M. Layer died on 12 July 1963 at Jefferson Co., KY, at age 78.

     Frederick Layer married Mary (?).

     Sarah Layhey married Charles Patrick.

     Abbie Catherine Layman was born on 18 March 1886. She married Daniel David Shank on 4 November 1908. Abbie Catherine Layman died on 17 February 1920 at age 33 Obituary (findagrave.com):

The funeral of Daniel David Shank and his wife, Abbie Catherine (Layman) Shank, was held at the Zion Church near Broadway, Va., on Sunday, April 25, conducted by S. H. Rhodes, Joseph Geil, and Henry Keener. Bro. and Sister Shank both died of pneumonia following influenza on the same day, Feb. 17, 1920. Their six children and other near relatives were down with influenza at the time of their death, therefore the funeral service was postponed. Bro. Shank was born July 27, 1886; Sister Shank, Mar. 18, 1886. On Nov. 4, 1908 they were married. They lived very happily together, and worked faithfully and harmoniously in the home, in the community, and in the Church. Their work on earth is ended but their influence will continue to live. Our hearts go out in sympathy to the little orphaned children, but we rejoice in their heritage of noble Christian parentage and early Christian training, and pray that they may grow up to be an honor to their parents and obedient children of God.      Blanche Layman was born in 1899. She married Leonard Leroy Wilkin, son of Noah William Wilkin and Nora Maranda Roush. Blanche Layman died in 1971.

     Catherine Layman was born circa 1827 at Ohio.¹ She married William Wilkin, son of William Wilkin and Rebecca Windle, on 27 September 1842 at Highland Co., OH. Catherine Layman died on 24 August 1888 at New Market Twp., Highland Co., OH. She was buried in August 1888 at Mt. Zion Cemetery, New Market Twp., Highland Co., OH.

     Dorothy Layman was born on 18 October 1903 at Troutville, Botetourt Co., VA.¹ She was the daughter of George W. Layman and Lillie Moomaw.¹

     Genevieve Layman was born on 18 September 1897 at Troutville, Botetourt Co., VA.¹ She was the daughter of George W. Layman and Lillie Moomaw.¹ Genevieve Layman married Joseph Kinzie, son of Thomas Kinzie and Elizabeth Graybill, on 5 July 1919.¹

     George Layman was born in March 1864 at Ohio.¹ He married Harriet Lovena Wyscarver, daughter of George Wyscarver and Rachel Ann Vandyke, circa 1894.¹

     George W. Layman was Church of the Brethren.¹ He was born on 22 June 1862.¹ He was the son of Lewis Layman and Lucy Riley.¹ George W. Layman married Lillie Moomaw, daughter of Joseph Moomaw and Mary Stover, on 16 January 1890.¹ George W. Layman lived in 1926 at Troutville, Botetourt Co., VA.¹

     Isabelle Layman was born circa 1826. She married John Cline, son of David Cline and Elizabeth DeLong.

     Leslie Glen Layman was born in July 1895 at Noble Co., OH.¹ He was the son of George Layman and Harriet Lovena Wyscarver.¹

     Lewis Layman married Lucy Riley.¹

     Louis M. Layman began military service Killed in action at Ypres, after serving 9 months in training and 11 months service with Canadian Expeditionary Force, in World War. Enlisted with C Squadron, 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles at Saskatchewan, Dec. 29, 1914.¹ He was born on 6 February 1893 at Botetourt Co., VA.¹ He was the son of George W. Layman and Lillie Moomaw.¹ Louis M. Layman died on 13 August 1916 at Ypres, West Flanders, Belgium, at age 23 Killed in action, World War I.¹

     Marie L. Layman was born on 22 June 1895 at Troutville, Botetourt Co., VA.¹ She was the daughter of George W. Layman and Lillie Moomaw.¹ Marie L. Layman married Dr. Samuel H. Yokely, son of Samuel Yokely and Junie C. Tackett, on 22 June 1922.¹

     Mary Layman was born circa 1818 at Virginia.^1,2,3 She married Amos Wendel, son of George Wendel and Sarah Borden, on 21 February 1844 at Shenandoah Co., VA, Bondsman: Joseph Layman.¹ Mary Layman died after 1880 at Shenandoah Co., VA.³

     Pauline Elizabeth Layman was born on 31 July 1899 at Troutville, Botetourt Co., VA.¹ She was the daughter of George W. Layman and Lillie Moomaw.¹ Pauline Elizabeth Layman married Minter Jackson Prickett on 17 September 1924.¹

     William Layman married Ella Weldy, daughter of Daniel Weldy and Elizabeth Beery. William Layman was born on 15 July 1891.

     Bertha Laymancka was born in 1884 at Russian Poland.¹ She married Gustave Steier. Bertha Laymancka immigrated in 1913.¹ She died on 6 January 1963 at Wisconsin. She was buried in January 1963 at First Baptist Cemetery, Pound, Marinette Co., WI, Findagrave #118281845.

     Charles S. Layton was born in November 1878 at Nebraska.^1,2 He was the son of John Layton and Mary L. (?)¹

     George W. Layton was born in July 1898 at Lewis Co., WA.¹ He was the son of John Layton and Mary L. (?)¹

     Ida A. Layton was born in November 1892 at Lewis Co., WA.¹ She was the daughter of John Layton and Mary L. (?)¹

     James Layton married Ada Rowe, daughter of Sarah Jane Hawkins. James Layton died after 1930.

     John Layton was born in May 1855 at Cowlitz Twp., Lewis Co., WA.^1,2 He was the son of Samuel Layton and Mahala Windle.¹ John Layton married Mary L. (?) circa 1878, Seven children born to the marriage, all living, as of 1900 census.³

     John M. Layton was born in January 1886 at Lewis Co., WA.¹ He was the son of John Layton and Mary L. (?)¹
