     Edith Lillian Bach was born on 14 August 1898 at Pottstown, Montgomery Co., PA, Price book says 1892, but census show 1898 and age 1 -- apparently an error in the book. DLB 2008.^1,2 She was the daughter of William P. Bach and Mary B. Yorgey.¹

     Elizabeth Bach was born on 25 August 1842.¹ She was the daughter of Francis S. Bach and Mary Price.¹ Elizabeth Bach married Aaron Burns, son of Joseph Burns and Sarah (?), on 31 March 1870, Ceremony by Rev. John Umstead.¹

     Evelyn May Bach was born on 21 January 1887.¹ She was the daughter of William P. Bach and Elizabeth May.¹

     Francis S. Bach was born on 10 April 1820.¹ He was the son of Jacob Bach and Elizabeth Smith.¹ Francis S. Bach married Mary Price, daughter of Rev. John Price and Mary Rinehart, on 9 November 1841.¹ Francis S. Bach died on 30 July 1882 at age 62.¹

     George W. Bach was born on 2 March 1867.¹ He was the son of William P. Bach and Elizabeth May.¹

     Harry Bach was born on 17 September 1875.¹ He was the son of William P. Bach and Elizabeth May.¹ Harry Bach married Stella May Eisenburg, daughter of David Y. Eisenburg and Sallie E. Baker.¹

     Irvin P. Bach was born on 26 October 1848 at Chester Co., PA.¹ He was the son of Francis S. Bach and Mary Price.¹ Irvin P. Bach married Ella Eisenhower, daughter of Jonathan Eisenhower and Louisa Bucher, on 30 December 1886, Ceremony by Rev. Pidge.¹ Irvin P. Bach died on 7 March 1918 at St. Anthony's Hospital, Rockford, Winnebago Co., IL, at age 69 From Memorial Notice, Bell Telephone Co.:

Irvin Price Bach died at St. Anthony's Hospital, Rockford, Ill., March 7, 1918, after an illness of but a few hours' duration.
Mr. Bach was born in Chester Co., Pa., Oct. 25, 1848; and received his education in that county.
He entered the service of the Western Union Telegraph Company as Lineman, on March 6, 1875. On Sept. 1, 1879 he accepted employment with the American Union Tel. Co. as General Foreman. On March 1, 1881, he returned to the Western Union as General Foreman. On Jan. 1, 1884, he became Supt. of Construction of the B.&O. Tel. Co. and continued in that position until Nov. 1, 1887.
He joined the telephone ranks March 25, 1888, entering the service of the Central Union Telephone Co., and served continuously until his demise. During his term of service he filled the positions of Line Foreman, State Inspector, Manager, and Special Agent.
Mr. Bach saw Telephony in its infancy, as shown by the following interview in the Central Union News of March, 1910:
"My first experience in the telephone business dates back to 1878, at which time, while in the Western Union service in Phila., I was detailed to install two telephones for use of the Penna. R.R. connecting the railway surgeon with one of the railroad towers. In those days the transmitter had not developed; the set consisted of a magneto and two hand telephones of oblong pattern which were hung in a clip on each side of the bell. It took me two days to install these two instruments, due to the fact that the ground wire in use for years in the railroad tower proved to be insufficient to operate this short line of 900 feet and two telephones -- the same having run down the tower, then under three sets of railroad tracks, stone ballasted and soldered to the rail. Unfortunately, however, midway between the second and third sets of rails the wire was broken in two, still leaving sufficient ground connection to operate the switchboard, but insufficient to operate these two bells. This naturally was the last place I looked for the 'bug'."
Mr. Bach was a member of Cleveland Lodge No. 211, A.F.&A.M; Washington Chapter No. 43, R.A.M., and Chicago Commandery No. 19, K.T. Mrs. Bach resides at 1834 Camac St., Philadelphia.¹

     Joshua Leon Bach was born on 21 April 1890 at Pottstown, Montgomery Co., PA.¹ He was the son of William P. Bach and Mary B. Yorgey.¹

     Mary Emma Bach was Baptist.¹ She was born on 4 March 1851 at Germantown, Philadelphia Co., PA.¹ She was the daughter of Francis S. Bach and Mary Price.¹ Mary Emma Bach married Aaron Hartenstine, son of Aaron Hartenstine and Hannah Umstead, on 13 October 1874.¹

     Rebecca Price Bach was born on 3 September 1854.¹ She was the daughter of Francis S. Bach and Mary Price.¹ Rebecca Price Bach married Thomas M. Balderston, son of James K. Balderston and Elizabeth M. (?), on 5 July 1872, Ceremony by Rev. Andrew Manship.¹ Rebecca Price Bach married Allen S. Davis, son of William Davis and Sarah Cook.¹

     William P. Bach was born on 20 September 1845 at Germantown, Philadelphia Co., PA.¹ He was the son of Francis S. Bach and Mary Price.¹ William P. Bach married Elizabeth May, daughter of Thomas May and Ann (?), on 30 June 1866.¹ William P. Bach married Mary Metz, daughter of Jesse Metz and Mary Shaner, on 24 December 1913.¹ William P. Bach died on 11 February 1920 at Pottstown, Montgomery Co., PA, at age 74 At the age of seven, Mr. Bach went to live with his uncle, George Wanger, in N. Coventry; in the Civil War he enlisted as a private in Co. H, 68th Regt. Pa. Vols., and served until he received his discharge May 4, 1864. He participated in the Battle of Fredericksburg where he was wounded in the left hand, and at Gettysburg, July 2d, where he received two wounds, one in the left leg and one in the right foot. He was carried a short distance to the rear of the firing line and when the Union line gave way on the afternoon of that dreadful day, he remained within the Confederate lines. He was not rescued until after the battle. After being in the hospital for ten months he was discharged on account of disability.
He learned the harness making trade in Phoenixville and later was a member of the firm of Bach and Weber, Harness-makers and Saddlers, in Pottstown, which business he later conducted by himself.
He served in the Pottstown School Board for three years, being President of that body 1883-4-5; was first appointed Postmaster by President Harrison, his commission dated from July 9, 1890; second by President McKinley, dated July 19, 1898 and Feb. 18, 1899; third by President Roosevelt, March 10, 1903 and again named for a fourth term by President Roosevelt on Feb. 1, 1907. Free Delivery service in Pottstown was inaugurated under Mr. Bach, Dec. 31, 1890. Baptist and served as Trustee of the 1st Church for a period of 32 years.¹

     William P. Bach was born on 16 September 1872.¹ He was the son of William P. Bach and Elizabeth May.¹ William P. Bach married Mary B. Yorgey, daughter of Ephraim R. Yorgey and Hannah L. (?), in 1889.¹ William P. Bach lived in 1900 at Pottstown, Montgomery Co., PA.² He died on 25 May 1912 at age 39.¹

     Betty Irene Bachand was born on 29 July 1923 at Sturgis, Meade Co., SD. She married Mervin Worman French. Betty Irene Bachand died on 11 November 2000 at Chico, Butte Co., CA, at age 77. She was buried in November 2000 at Glen Oaks Memorial Park, Chico, Butte Co., CA, Findagrave #82994309.

     Glenn Lewis Bacher was born on 13 May 1914 at Uncas, Kay Co., OK. He was the son of Lewis E. Bacher and Effie Clark Ross.¹ Glenn Lewis Bacher married Naomi Belle Armstrong, daughter of Robert Ernest Armstrong and Estella Jane Dwyer, on 9 August 1943. Glenn Lewis Bacher died on 8 July 2009 at Veterans Center, Norman, Cleveland Co., OK, at age 95. He was buried in July 2009 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Ponca City, Kay Co., OK, Findagrave #39604459.

     Lewis E. Bacher was born on 15 January 1889 at Kansas.¹ He married Effie Clark Ross on 18 December 1912 at Kay Co., OK. Lewis E. Bacher died on 13 August 1967 at Ponca City, Kay Co., OK, at age 78. He was buried in August 1967 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Ponca City, Kay Co., OK, Findagrave #36084556.

     Eleanor V. Bachman was born on 11 November 1844 at Sullivan Co., TN.¹ She was the daughter of Nathan Wesley Bachman and Emaline T. Birdwell. Eleanor V. Bachman married Dr. Richard Carr Kitzmiller, son of Henry Kitzmiller and Elizabeth Carr, on 6 June 1867. Eleanor V. Bachman died on 13 December 1921 at Sullivan Co., TN, at age 77. She was buried in December 1921 at Old Jonesboro Cemetery, Jonesborough, Washington Co., TN.

     Elizabeth Bachman was the daughter of Michael Bachman. Elizabeth Bachman married Christian Hershey, son of Andrew Hershey.

     Elizabeth Bachman married William Kleppinger, son of Ludwig Kleppinger and Anna Maria Best, in 1811.

     Elizabeth Jay Bachman was born on 4 September 1856 at Tennessee. She was the daughter of Lilburn Henderson Bachman and Eliza Anne Kitzmiller. Elizabeth Jay Bachman married Richard Martin Kitzmiller Deakins, son of James Y. Deakins and Anna Walker, circa 1878. Elizabeth Jay Bachman lived in June 1880 at Washington Co., TN, living with stepmother of her husband.¹ She died on 6 July 1937 at Jonesborough, Washington Co., TN, at age 80.      Lilburn Henderson Bachman was born on 1 March 1822 at Tennessee. He was the son of Thomas Bachman and Rebecca Tittsworth. Lilburn Henderson Bachman married Eliza Anne Kitzmiller, daughter of David Kitzmiller and Elizabeth Hughes, on 6 September 1855, date per headstone. Lilburn Henderson Bachman began military service Civil War, Confederate Army, wounded in arm. He died on 5 August 1911 at age 89. He was buried in August 1911 at Fordtown Baptist Church Cemetery, Kingsport, Sullivan Co., TN.

     Nathan Wesley Bachman was born on 28 November 1802 at Horse Creek, Sullivan Co., TN.^1,2 He married Emaline T. Birdwell. Nathan Wesley Bachman lived on 24 October 1850 at Sullivan Co., TN, farmer.¹ He lived on 26 August 1870 at P.O. Pleasant Plains, Sullivan Co., TN.² He lived on 5 June 1880 at Civil District 15, Sullivan Co., TN.³ He died on 3 October 1887 at age 84.      Thomas Bachman was born on 22 July 1795 at Clear Creek, Sullivan Co., TN. He married Rebecca Tittsworth. Thomas Bachman died on 11 January 1882 at Tennessee at age 86.
